[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. Yeah. We tried to harmonize. It's just like not gonna happen, people. [00:00:22] Speaker B: Oh my God. [00:00:22] Speaker A: Welcome. [00:00:23] Speaker B: Welcome to Candidly 30 Scratchy Throat. I don't know how this happened. Like, I feel like I've been sick literally since November. I don't know what is going on. For a minute I was like telling myself that it was my office. That because I like went back to an office and the office is kind of old. I was like, I feel like there's [00:00:38] Speaker A: like, I don't know, mold. [00:00:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Literally something in the office. But like I low key don't want to bring it up because I'm terrified of like them making me drive back to Prineville or something like, and having to do that whole situation. [00:00:51] Speaker A: There's a. [00:00:52] Speaker B: Now there's a lot of people that sit in that office. Like when I first moved into it, there was only like six of us. Now there's like 11 or. I mean, that doesn't sound like a lot, but like almost doubling the numbers. You can feel it for sure. [00:01:04] Speaker A: More bodies. [00:01:05] Speaker B: Yeah. But then for a second I was thinking I was allergic to Myla. But now I just think that it's just like something nasty is in the air because I feel like everyone's been getting it, whatever it is. This is the first time I got like a cough. Cough though and like losing my voice. [00:01:19] Speaker A: It's just the season. [00:01:20] Speaker B: I know. [00:01:21] Speaker A: I mean like we're doing. We just. No, I haven't got anything. Nothing too crazy yet. I did get both my flu shot and the cold. What other? The COVID shot. So I haven't had any sickness this last summer or this last summer. This last winter. Knock on wood. But it is that time of the year. Like we just did the daylight savings we had. Oh my God. Yeah. [00:01:42] Speaker B: Happy daylight, everyone. [00:01:44] Speaker A: Happy daylight save. [00:01:46] Speaker B: I mean, but spring brings up a lot of allergies. [00:01:50] Speaker A: Yeah, I always get really wicked allergies in the. In the springtime. Also my. Like I planted a bunch of bulbs. I think I talked about this in like October or maybe September last year. I gotta show you the picture. I'll put them up on the instas. My hyacinths and my crocus and my like tulips are on fire. They're popping. They're like beautiful. There's a purple one and a pink one and there's a white crocus. That's like I'm obsessed. [00:02:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh my God. Really fast too. Like this year. [00:02:23] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't know. Things were. [00:02:24] Speaker B: Because we didn't really have a Winter that things were just like blooming like a month ago and everyone was getting really spooked. But it is really nice and really sweet at this point to just kind of like make the transition. Supposedly we're getting snow tomorrow, so whatever. But it was like 65. [00:02:38] Speaker A: I did see that. [00:02:40] Speaker B: So. Yeah. I don't know what is going on. [00:02:43] Speaker A: What's going on with the moon these days? Like so daylight. [00:02:46] Speaker B: See that? [00:02:46] Speaker A: Like, and there was like super moon that. [00:02:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:49] Speaker A: Well, I was, you know, stalking you on Tick Tock. So I wanted you to talk about it a little bit. [00:02:53] Speaker B: Nice. Yeah, I don't really know too much about it. It's just like every month everyone knows there's a full moon. Well, hopefully everyone knows that, but usually they. They all have like names and labels now. I wonder if it's just like our day and age or for. They always have. I don't know. I haven't done the research on that, [00:03:08] Speaker A: but it feels a little bit like clickbait. Like they do that. They always come up with like a snappy little thing. So it. I don't know if it's an actual thing, but I'm gonna look it up right now. Sorry. [00:03:18] Speaker B: Because there's like a harvest moon. There's like a sturgeon moon. Obviously. Super moons. I think super moons are different than like the named moons. Anyways. Yeah, there's a beautiful. [00:03:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Blood moon. [00:03:30] Speaker B: So tell me, Read it. What does it say? [00:03:34] Speaker A: Yeah, it was a total. Okay, this is from Google, everybody. A total lunar eclipse or blood moon occurred on March 3, 2026. Visible across the Americas, Pacific, Australia and parts of East Asia, but not in Europe or Africa. Sorry about it, folks. So, yeah, it is. It lasts about six hours. It features blah, blah, blah, coppery, coppery red moon. [00:03:56] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:57] Speaker A: So there was a blood moon just a couple of days ago and Kelly captured it on Tik Tok. [00:04:02] Speaker B: It didn't look as cool as it did. [00:04:04] Speaker A: I don't know anything about what. [00:04:05] Speaker B: It's really beautiful. Yeah. [00:04:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Anyhow, cuz like you're the year of the fire horse. We're going to continue to talk about that. I don't know if there's like any association with superstitious, you know, people saying blood moon and the fire horse and the world's on fire, but whatever. Anyway, I just thought it was cool that you mentioned that. [00:04:23] Speaker B: So it's fine. We're just going. [00:04:25] Speaker A: People are like world war during the blood moon in this transitionary time. [00:04:30] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:04:31] Speaker A: Have you been watching the news? I don't Know if we want to talk about the news, but I don't [00:04:36] Speaker B: really want to talk about it either. I feel like I also, like, purposefully have, like, been trying to not absorb that much because it's so icky and painful. So I've been really trying to transition away also. There's so many other things that are going on in. In my world, like work this week was quite possibly the worst week of work thus far. This administration, if that could have made sense. But anyways, yeah, we're just fully transitioning and being like a supervisor now. It was brutal. My team is freaking out, so it's okay. Everything was just pushed up super fast. September was supposed to be our actual transition date of, like, because we were consolidated, but they told us, like, your team will stay the same, like, everything will be okay until the end of the fiscal year, which is coming this coming September. And then everything just got moved up to April 19th for funsies and they ruining all of our lives during the busiest time of the year during seasonal recruitment. So my team could not be more gracious and awesome this week, but it was still very, very stressful. [00:05:48] Speaker A: So that's sweet. [00:05:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I don't know. Anyway, I'm very grateful for them. They are rock stars and they have so much work. I spent 16 collective hours on the phone with a team to try to make this transition easier for the field and for us because we were kind of just thrown into it this week. So it was brutal, but we came up with processes and we did it. It's just. It's gonna be messy and it's gonna be tough and there's gonna be a lot of that hits the fan. And so this is probably the worst possible time for me to get sick. So couldn't. Couldn't be better over here. Just living our very best life. But anyways, do you have any updates that you want to share on work stuff? [00:06:34] Speaker A: Not really. I mean, work is work. Work is just driving me a little crazy. I did go. I had my first, like, therapy session. This is a candidly 30 podcast. [00:06:44] Speaker B: Sorry, people. Sorry, not sorry. [00:06:45] Speaker A: I met with a new therapist. I really enjoyed her. It was just like the first session and I cried way more than I wanted to, but it felt really good to be validated that, like, I'm not an insane person. Life is just really lifing right now. It's really freaking hard. And this is not at all where I thought I was going to be when I'm, you know, 36 and still struggling through things. But, you know, approach it with empathy, approach it with, you know, grace, and realize that my therapist is probably one of the. I just feel very seen. Like, that was good. So other than that, my week is just very basic. But I am so looking forward for, like, rebirth in the spring. I'm so sick of it being cold. I want to get a tan so bad. [00:07:31] Speaker B: My legs are. [00:07:33] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, same girl. So I went to the recreation.org or whatever and I'm going to. I'm hoping that I can get a permit for Whitney so that my brother and I can do Whitney before he dies. And I haven't done it in such a while. [00:07:47] Speaker B: You're gonna hike Mount Whitney? [00:07:48] Speaker A: Hopeful, but I don't know if I'll get it. [00:07:50] Speaker B: Oh my God. [00:07:51] Speaker A: We're gonna try to sometime this year. That's amazing. We're gonna try. [00:07:55] Speaker B: She's a beast. [00:07:55] Speaker A: If I can get the permit, then. Yeah. So I was like, talk. Cuz I just went home like last week or whatever and I was. My brother and I have been trying to. I don't know, I have been trying to be more forgiving when it comes to my brother. It's a whole issue. We'll talk about it later. But I, um. One of the things that we want to do is, like, have shared experiences and he needs to get out and do things, which he. He said Whitney. And I was a little surprised. I'm like, really? That's the mountain that you want to, like, you want to do? Are you sure? [00:08:23] Speaker B: I mean, that's a great goal to like, get in shape for, like, I think. I think I'm really lacking in that department this year because last year I had a goal of like, the Dolomites and I really did not want to struggle through it. I really want to enjoy it. And I was just like, so. So I was training so hard. And this year, nothing. I mean, not that I don't have things I'm looking forward to. It's just like, nothing like that. And so I have. Yeah, I am feeling it. I am feeling very out of shape and very not ready for summer and to be in a bathing suit and hiking and etc. Etc. Etc. So, yeah, that's been on my. I think that's also like, harping on my mental health a little bit. I'm just feeling. Feeling so. Blech. So, yeah, yeah, we're. [00:09:09] Speaker A: We'll. [00:09:10] Speaker B: We'll get there eventually. But I keep. I mean, like, March is like basically the start of summer, and so I'm like, damn, we're already. Yeah, so damn. [00:09:18] Speaker A: Anyway, I know I said this in January. Like, it doesn't feel like 2026. It feels like I'm stuck in 2025 energy and it's already March. Like, it's so far behind. [00:09:29] Speaker B: How did we get here? Honestly, like, next week is St. Patrick's Day. Like, holy moly. I can't believe it. [00:09:34] Speaker A: Get out of here. [00:09:34] Speaker B: I know. [00:09:35] Speaker A: It's already Lent. Like. Like people are already in the thick of their Lent season. [00:09:40] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:09:40] Speaker A: Sorry. Catholic. Coming. Coming out. Anyway, yeah, it's kind of shenanigans how the world is moving so fast. It doesn't feel like I'm catching up. It just feels like I'm sinking deeper. But I'm making plans. Hopefully Whitney will happen. Hope I want to put, like some more permits in too. I don't know, we'll see. It's kind of late in the permit game, but anyway, so, yeah, that's what's been going on. Not much to. [00:10:04] Speaker B: Yeah, we'll do. And talk a little bit about your trip home. How was. How was home? [00:10:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I really. The drive. I like, don't know if my ADHD is on fire these days, but I could not for the life of me, like, get into a podcast for a 12 and a half hour drive or [00:10:20] Speaker B: get into a novel sometimes. [00:10:22] Speaker A: I know. Yeah, I just had to, like, keep going back and forth to like music and 30 minute podcasts and stopping to pee and then not wanting to, you know, I don't know. It's ocd, you know, like music ocd. So I was on shuffle, which was really frustrating. But the drive was okay. It was long. It felt so good to be at home when it wasn't like blistering rain. It wasn't super duper cold. I got to see a lot of my family. My dad hadn't mowed the back, like three acres, so, like, lots of bunny rabbits and fresh grass and all. [00:10:59] Speaker B: Everything's attacked. [00:11:01] Speaker A: Did I tell you this? No. [00:11:03] Speaker B: From what? [00:11:04] Speaker A: Yeah, she just got her hair done. I think there's a dog that lives like, apparently. Okay, I don't know if this is kosher to talk about, but my parents have a five acre place in California. The. The acreage right next to them is owned by a different person. And he put a friend in a trailer. So there's just like some random guy in a trailer that's like kind of not on the property, but close enough. And that guy, I don't even know if that man has like running water, like sewage systems, but whatever. He has a Dog that roams around the property and, like, around the olive groves. So when Olive is out, like, doing her business and peeing, we think that that dog took a chunk out of her thigh. So there's like a big bald spot on her back leg. Anyway, so she got bit or attacked or something. [00:11:54] Speaker B: She's a survivor. That little beast. She just got the shit out of it or something. [00:11:59] Speaker A: She's only like. She has little dog syndrome for sure. She's only like £8, but she's good. It was nice to just like, cuddle with her and hang out with my dad. My mom bought an outdoor fire pit thing and, like, a nice couch that they put on their porch to look out on the Sierra Nevadas. So. And it had just rained, too, so you could really see a beautiful view of, like, the whole mountain range. Yeah, it was really nice to just go home and, like, be with family. So. Yeah. And then there's this new kaweah brewing that is in the middle of nowhere on, like, road. Road 3, 303 or something like that. Like, literally in the middle of the nowhere with zero signs. But it was really cute. They had a bunch of kids. They were like a food. There was a food truck out there. We had a big bonfire. And I got to see a lot of my cousins. I got to see Megan and Katie Shear and Denali and Sadie and, yeah, my Aunt Janine and my grandma. So it was really nice to just see everybody. Also, my Aunt Janine told me she's a listener, which was surprising, but. Hi, Aunt Janine. Yeah, it was really good. I'm glad that I went home. I needed it. Good. [00:13:04] Speaker B: I'm so glad. That sounds awesome. We are going to head down to California soon. Like, K Flor and I are going to do a little road trip to California for work weekend. It's finally. It's officially the season, guys. We're back at it. This is our yearly tradish. We're going to do lady road trip down to California. And I'm very excited also. I just know that it's, like, all green right now. And it's like, the best time to be, like, driving through the Central Valley when, like, everything is blooming and everything's green before it turns brown in, like, a week. So, yeah, it'll be, like, the perfect time to head down to California. I'm excited. [00:13:38] Speaker A: In like, three weeks, it'll all be brown and dead. But yeah, when we go to work weekend, it's so nice. It's all fresh and spring and fresh grass and I Saw, like, a bunch of hawks, so there's, like, a ton of wildlife. And remember the freaking goats from last year? [00:13:54] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:13:55] Speaker A: Yeah. We'll have to, like, talk a little bit about, like, our road trip games and word association games again. [00:14:02] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. Yeah. [00:14:04] Speaker A: Do we want to jump into the topic? [00:14:06] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. We are going to do faves today for our episode. And, yeah, we just, like, came up with five each. We're gonna kind of do. We are. Today we're going to be doing our faves episode. We haven't done one in a little while, I feel like. Has it been a minute? [00:14:24] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:14:25] Speaker B: When was the last time it has been a minute? [00:14:26] Speaker A: I don't think we've done a phase for 2026. I think in December is the last faves episode, if I'm not mistaken. So. [00:14:34] Speaker B: Totally. [00:14:34] Speaker A: It's time. We're due. [00:14:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you want to go first? Do you want me to start? [00:14:39] Speaker A: Yeah, I want. I'll go first, if that's okay. Yeah. It's just a bunch of products. Honestly, like, lately my skin has been so dry. I've been dealing with, like, dry scalp, dry sk. It's driving me nuts. And, like, none of my regular. My usual suspects are hitting, you know. So I went to. I went to Sephora Slash Ulta, and I was trying to, like, find all these pieces or, like, things that I could use that have really good quality product but wasn't going to be too expensive. So everything on my list, I think, is less than 15, less than 30. There's one thing that was a little bit more expensive, but it's less than 15. [00:15:16] Speaker B: Nice. [00:15:16] Speaker A: And it's all from Sephora and Ulta. Have you been trying to stay away from, like, Amazon? I haven't been shopping at Walmart. I have been shopping at Target. I think Costco is really the only thing. I know. [00:15:26] Speaker B: I've been going to Costco too. We went there yesterday, but. Yeah, no, nothing on Amazon. I didn't cancel my prime account, though. I still haven't done that. I don't know if I can do that. [00:15:37] Speaker A: I still read Kendall pretty frequently. That's the last piece of Amazon that I, like, hate, and I need to get rid of it. But also, there's, like, we need to talk about books, too, because maybe in the next couple of episodes we can talk a little bit about, like, our summer reads and stuff like that. [00:15:51] Speaker B: Absolutely. I've actually read, like, four books in the last, like, month, so I do have a lot of book updates, for sure. [00:15:58] Speaker A: Nice. Yeah, I have A few that I've been reading since January too, that we can talk about. But next time. Right now we're going to talk about how to get hydration back into this dry ass face because that is where we're at these days, folks. Okay, so the first thing that I want to talk about is a overnight scalp renewal serum. It's 27 from Sephora. It's Evita. I'm sure that you've heard of this. This is like such a common brand, I'd say, and they're just really well known for good quality products. But this is an overnight serum. I put it on my scalp when I sleep and it just has been kind of helping because my dry scalp is like the bane of my existence since I was a little bitty baby. But the Evita overnight scalp renewal serum, it's 27 from Sephora. I've been using it for like maybe a month and a half now and it's, it's working, I'd say. I don't know if there's like a marked, like a really obvious improvement, but it is somewhat helping. But yeah, that's the first one. Smells so good too. It just smells like expensive beauty products. Yeah, it smells really nice. [00:17:00] Speaker B: Have you ever been to like Innova Specific like beauty salon or like. They have. I haven't like med spas, kind of. I think they was what they would call it now these days. But yeah, they're really nice too. But yeah, they use all their products on you too and obviously they want you to buy their products so they like tell you what they used on you and blah, blah, blah. But yeah, I really like, I can't even remember. They gave me a. I got a bunch of facials there. There's one in Fresno that mom and I would like frequent. But yeah, they would always use this one moisturizer on my face that I really love. But I. So maybe it's similar. [00:17:32] Speaker A: I know maybe we need to learn more about this product line. I don't know. [00:17:36] Speaker B: I really, I mean they've been around for a long time, so. So you'd think that they have. That it would be more of a, yeah, I don't know, like they're tried and true kind of situation. But yeah, I feel like there's just so many especially like face things like everyone wants to look younger, right? Everyone wants to like save their skin compared to back in the day. And so I feel like there's so many new like skin products that it gets really overwhelming. And I also think that we shouldn't use that new products on our faces. And so I'm really trying to dial it back. And like, speaking of tick tock, like, I get a lot of products, like, sent to me now, which is lovely and I love that. But there's so many different ones that I just like, I get really overwhelmed. I end up, like, trying them and doing a video about them and then I just like, give them away because I. Yeah, I don't want to change up my routine at this point in my life. I'm just like, there's too much going on and. Yeah. Anyways, I feel like my skin. [00:18:30] Speaker A: Overwhelming. [00:18:30] Speaker B: Looks pretty. [00:18:31] Speaker A: Yeah. There's millions of products. Your skin's beautiful. Beautiful. [00:18:35] Speaker B: Thank you. One of the. I feel like my like list is a little bit more hodgepodge than Kefler's. These are just like they. I have a lot of products, but the first one that I want to talk about is just a band. And I know we've talked about them before, but it's just top of mind because they are coming to Bend next week. AJ Lee in Blue Summit. And we get out. [00:18:57] Speaker A: They're coming next week? [00:18:59] Speaker B: Yeah, they're coming on the 19th. So we're going to see them at the Volcanic Theater. And so, yeah, Matt and I are going to go see them with a bunch of friends. So it'll be a really good time. It's just like really fun. Dancy bluegrass. Just like a good hang and like a good time always, no matter what. And yeah, I feel like they just recently announced that they're like down to like a four person band because one of their main, like guitar players decided to go home and like, be with his family. So. Which is lovely. He's from like the south or something. But anyways, I'm sure tour life is rough, like, I can't imagine. But anyways, yeah, very excited for a while too. Yeah, a hundred percent. Like they've been doing it big and. And getting out there. So I just wanted to highlight them [00:19:43] Speaker A: and say 2025 was a big year for them. They went to like the Grand Ole Opry. They went, you know, toured back east too. Yeah, I love them. They're so fabulous. And I have like 18 shirts of their merch or whatever. I love. That's awesome. [00:19:57] Speaker B: Yeah, I listen to them a lot [00:19:58] Speaker A: on my road trip. [00:19:59] Speaker B: Yeah, Kler definitely got in on the Kool Aid when we first saw them, I feel like at Strawberry a while back, but they're just the best. And they're from California, so we love them. And she's a little prodigy like the mando. Oh, she's incredible on the mando. So anyways, I just want to highlight them and say we're going to see them next week. And I'm very excited for all, like, summer things. Unfortunately, there's, like, no good concerts, in my opinion, but that are really coming to Hayden Homes this year, which is, like, our big concert venue. And so I'm just going to really be looking out for the, like, music festivals that we're going to and the few just, like, little shows at, like, the Volcanic or Midtown or whatever. Because, yeah, Hayden Homes kind of sucks. [00:20:36] Speaker A: That's nice. [00:20:37] Speaker B: Yeah. But that's my first one. [00:20:39] Speaker A: Homes is expensive, too. When we have, like, a big somebody that comes in, it's like 80 bucks sometimes. So maybe it'll be good to just focus on smaller venues this year around rather than, like, you know, going to Hayden Homes. Oh, my gosh. [00:20:50] Speaker B: Absolutely. That's great. [00:20:51] Speaker A: I love them. [00:20:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:52] Speaker A: I listened to AJ Lee and I listened to Broko. I listened to the Hog Slot Band. I had, like, a full three or four hours of just, like, bluegrass music, and it was fabulous. Okay. My next three products are all by the ordinary. The. And to your point, like, at this time in my life, I don't want to confuse my skin. I want to be very intentional about, like, the type of product that I put on my face or, like, in my body, because I don't. I think a lot of the products that we've used have been very. There's just extra crap that's in there that, like, they don't talk about. Or it can be even less helpful if you have a bunch of, like, crap that's on in your product. Anyway, so I've been trying to be very intentional about, you know, lessening all the extra stuff that's on my skin because it's so dry. Like, I just need hydration, people. Hydration. So I was on TikTok because as a regular millennial, that's where I get a lot of my research, which is just the saddest thing to say. But it's true. [00:21:53] Speaker B: Real life. [00:21:55] Speaker A: So the three products, do you mind if I list them out really quickly here? I'll let you. Just. Because they're all in the ordinary. So the first thing that I start with is the glycolic acid. It's this big bottle that's kind of, like orangey color. I start with that all over my face. I even do, like, behind my ears because I have, like, dandruff and stuff. So behind my ears, all on my neck, all my dick. What do they call that? The decage. Like your chest. Okay, calm down. So I do the glycolic acid first and then just take it like a. What do they call those little cotton pod, the cotton pad things. Cotton pod. And then I use the multi active delivery essence. This is a new one. It's like spring. Specifically for hydration. And I don't know exactly what's in it. [00:22:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I've never heard of that one. I've heard of the Ordinary and I know their product line is great, but. [00:22:49] Speaker A: Yeah, the Ordinary is great, but this is a multi active. Let me see what exactly is in there? And it's only like $12 from Sephora, which is not expensive in my opinion. Okay. It has niacin. Oh my God. [00:23:08] Speaker B: This is niacinamide. [00:23:09] Speaker A: Don't judge me, people. Thank you. And zinc. And so it uses glycerin and propanadol to boost moisture retention. Anyway, so the multi active delivery essence for hydration is one of my favorite products. I think I will die using that from now on because I can totally see a difference. The glycolic acid, I don't know, we'll see if that is working. But the multi delivery essence, definitely going to keep that one. And then I follow that up with a higher say. How do you say it? [00:23:40] Speaker B: Hyaluronic acid. [00:23:43] Speaker A: Thank you. Kelly's there for all the pronunciation needs that I have. So I do that and then I put on my Avena Aveeno moisturizer. So it's like a four step process. Glycolic acid, the multi activity active delivery essence. And then the hyaluronic acid said that. Right, right. And then my moisturizer and it's been working pretty well. My skin is very clear, it's very hydrated. Ish. Because it's really cold outside. And then today I'm gonna do a mask, but that's later. Anyway, those are my next three. The Ordinary is great. I think that brand is like not insanely expensive, totally accessible and good products. So. [00:24:21] Speaker B: Yeah, that's funny. We Kevlar and I did not plan this, but my next product is my skincare line as well. And it is like a three step system, but. Or I could technically be a four step system, but I use a different one. So everyone's skin is different. Everyone will react to different things. [00:24:38] Speaker A: Everyone's skin is different. [00:24:39] Speaker B: Yeah. This mine is called Herbal face food and it's 100 like made out of plants. And so there is none of that stuff, all those big words that K flare was just saying. There is some other additions that. That I don't know. [00:24:57] Speaker A: I. [00:24:58] Speaker B: Off the top of my head I didn't look up like any of the most of the ingredients but it is all plant based. But it's also like has an spf. Like a built in SPF because of it anyways it is not accessible. Like Kiefer was saying. Like the ordinary is. I feel like it is very expensive. The only time I ever buy it is when there's like massive major deals and it actually lasts for a really long time. So like I feel like I just really re upped on it and they were having like a huge spring sale where you like bought one product and you got the other another one for free. So like that's kind of how I have to do it is like I do. You do spend a lot of money at one time. But I feel like I only have to do it like once a year which I think is pretty great. So yeah, their. Their system is basically like this face wash and it's like sudsy and whatever it is a bar which I do think is funny because like I love just like spray or not spray but square squirt everything these days, you know, like hand soap and whatever. I hate bars of anything. But I do really like this bar because you can actually like suds it up on your face and it kind of feels like a mask almost. You can like wear it around for a little while. It's like tingly anyway. So you do that and then you do the serum. They have this other thing in the middle. It just always comes with like the kit. So like I would never probably buy it but it's called like the X and it's basically like a spot treatment or like if you have any like fine line wrinkled like specific places like you're not supposed to rub it all over your face but you just like place it in like if you have like you know like a brown spot, like what are they called? Sunspots. Or if you have a scar or if you have. Yeah, just like a specific area that you had to sit or whatever and you want to get rid of it faster. You just like.it on there and that one's really potent and that's like a stinger. That's a burner for sure. And then they have like a cream. They also have an under eye cream but that's like just. Just lay out of my budget to add that addition in there. But they also have a face Cream. And that's what I was saying has like the built in SPF in it and it kind of has like a. Because it's made out of plants, it has like this weird tone to it to where it makes you look like kind of tan already. So I really just like love the system, I would say also I've been using it for about a year now, the full system. And I just started getting people like this winter to be like, hey, hey, like what skincare routine do you do? Because it like I had three people ask me what I use and I was like, I feel bad like recommending this because it's so expensive, but I do think that it works. So anyways, herbal face food, highly, highly recommend. Like I said, only buy it. I follow a couple girls on Instagram and so whenever they're having major sales, like they, they link it or whatever. And so it's just totally worth it. [00:27:32] Speaker A: Give me like a price range. Like, are we talking 4, 500 bucks? Are we talking like $80? [00:27:38] Speaker B: Yeah, it is for the full. The last time I just bought it, it was like about 400. And like I said, I got like the full thing and then I got the additional as well. So like it was basically like half off. But yeah, the full system is basically 400. If you just buy it by itself. Essentially on sale too. No, that's like the normal price. But the, the sale is that they were like, yeah, you get the whole additional for free essentially. So yeah, it is definitely pricey, but like I said it, 400 in one year. I would say if you like regularly get facials or whatever, like it definitely would pay for itself and that you wouldn't need to do that as often. And like K Flor was saying, just like hydration wise, I feel like very hydrated in a very dry climate. So it is, it is expensive, but being a girl is very expensive and we spend money on all kinds of. And if you think about like just for me specifically, if I think about like every item that I was like buying before, like every face wash I was buying, every sunscreen I was buying, every serum I was buying, every like night cream I was buying like all these different things, it probably added up to about the same as now I just have one system and I know that my skin can deal with it and I'm just like used to it at this point. So it is nice to kind of get rid of all those other products and just focus on like one product. So it does seem like a lot of money. But if you Think about all the things that you do to your skin and just add them all together. Totally. It probably would be comparable. [00:29:08] Speaker A: So I would agree. I think when we bought the house, like, two years ago, I really made an effort to line out all of the various products that I had and started using them so that I didn't have, like, a bucket full of old products from, like, five or ten years ago. I've gotten through most of it, and then it's just a lot like. [00:29:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:28] Speaker A: Being a girl and having all of the various products that we have to use has been insane. [00:29:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:35] Speaker A: Like, if you think about it, Victoria's Secrets is where I've been buying my underwear for the last 15 years. And, like, that's a terrible company. I don't need 18 million pairs of Victoria's Secret underwear. Like, what are other things that I can do? All of the Aveeno products. Like, I was just such a. I'm such a slut for anything that Jennifer Aniston is doing. Yeah, she's opening up a P? Volve studio. [00:29:58] Speaker B: What's pinball? [00:29:59] Speaker A: P Volve is a Pilates, like, system or company. So it's basically a Pilates studio. Yeah. So she's opening up a P? Volve studio here in Portland. And it's all Pilates, like, body weight based. So they use a lot of small weights and, you know those, like, circular things that are like sliders. [00:30:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:23] Speaker A: You know, like a bar. So she. She does that a lot. Anyway, long story short, I'm a big slut for anything Jennifer Anderson does. So I'm thinking about doing a class when they open it, I think in the next couple of months. So, yeah, I think, like, trying to get rid of all the old products that I've been accumulating for the last 10 years and going into my later 30s and 40s, being more intentional about the products that we're buying and using. I think that's great. Do you want to go again, though? I think I went through three products. [00:30:52] Speaker B: I was gonna say we're like, already hitting the end of our episode, kind of, and I still have a lot of time. Yeah, I still have, like, a lot of them left. What do you want to do? [00:31:01] Speaker A: I only have two left. So you go ahead and say as many as you want and then just know that I have two left. Okay. [00:31:08] Speaker B: So I wanted to talk about a lash serum. So this new one is called Beauty Society, and it is kind of like one of those. Okay, back up. I would say that I have been using a lash serum for the last like, four years or so. I don't think it's necessary. I think a lot of women have beautiful lashes. They just need to figure out how to put on mascara, in my very personal opinion. But I'm just saying that I do also, like, I know I've talked about it before, but, like, the Thrive mascara is just, like, huge. I think tubing mascara is just, like, very in right now. But Thrive was the original one that did the tubing mascara. And I just think tubing Mascara is like, 10 out of 10. I don't think you need a lash serum. However, I love a lash serum. And so I've been using the, like, rodent and fields for the last, like, three years. But it is pricey. And, like, I don't love that you have to, like, be a member or like, I can't remember what it's called. It's kind of like an MLM where, like, you have to have, like, a sponsor or whatever it's called. I became a sponsor for it just so I wouldn't have to, like, be linked to someone else and, like, not get the benefits. So that's a whole thing in itself. But anyways, so I've been using it forever, but it's like $150 a tube piece, people, so that's pricey. Anyways, I have just been looking for alternatives. I've tried the Babe Lash. I've tried the Wink Lash. I've tried, like, all of these stupid ones that, like, influencers talk about on the Internet. They do not do anything. I mean, also, I think potentially, like, my eyelashes have just hit the peak of what they're going to be. But I just, like, like it for thickness and fullness. So, like, I don't have to wear mascara if I don't want to. And so anyways, I have just tried this, like, New Beauty Society one. I've seen the results. I know influencers don't always tell the truth, but I have seen the results on, like, a couple girls that I actually do believe that they try things and actually like them. And so it's been like, about a month. You can't tell right now on the video. And I know no one online is, like, listening to this or, I mean, they're just listening to this. They're not looking at it, but. [00:33:15] Speaker A: Right. [00:33:15] Speaker B: I do think that it's doing it. It's doing its job. Speaking of all these products that, like, we. We don't need to be buying or whatever. But yeah, I just like, like the thickness that it gives my lashes A little bit additional boost and oomph. So, yeah, Beauty society shoe. Off the top of my head, I don't exactly remember how much it costs. I want to say is in the ballpark of like $60, which is still a lot of money, but not for a lash serum that actually works, I would say so. [00:33:41] Speaker A: I mean, if you're going to Compare it to 120 Roden Fields and it's still. Still has, like, similar type of result, I'd say that that's a pretty decent price. Half off, right? Totally. [00:33:50] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:51] Speaker A: That's great. [00:33:52] Speaker B: Yeah. That was my. [00:33:53] Speaker A: Okay. [00:33:53] Speaker B: Third. Ish one. [00:33:56] Speaker A: Okay. Sorry. I wouldn't, like, out of order, but my next one. So summer is coming. Spring is here. I've been trying not to drink as much, like, liquor. And so I've been swinging, like, more wine and beer. And cider is not my favorite. Like, you're very much a bubbly cider lady, not cider. And my husband's been getting into. Oh, okay. [00:34:17] Speaker B: I hate. [00:34:18] Speaker A: Sorry. Seltzer. [00:34:19] Speaker B: Yeah, okay, same. [00:34:21] Speaker A: Like, ciders are not really my. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree. I think they're too sweet a lot of the time anyway. My husband has been into ciders for a really long time, and he bought one pack or like, variety pack that I really liked. So I think we're gonna be incorporating that more as the summer, like, the weather gets better and there's more barbecues. And instead of having, like, beer, we're just gonna have, like, cider. It's from Costco. It's not crazy expensive. I think it's only like, $28 for the 18 pack, which is big. So it's called the Two Town Cider House. The Cosmic Crisps. [00:34:57] Speaker B: I do know those. I do not like those. Those are from Oregon, right? [00:35:03] Speaker A: Two towns. They're from Oregon. [00:35:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:05] Speaker A: From Corvallis. Yeah. I think the Corvallis tasting room. We should definitely go there eventually. I'm talking about me and my husband. Since cider is not for you. [00:35:13] Speaker B: I mean, I'll try it, but that's about it. I wouldn't drink one, I don't think. [00:35:17] Speaker A: Yeah, they have, like, various flavors. There's like, a pineapple one that he really likes. There's a raspberry one that I think is very sweet, but it's. It's kind of okay. The Cosmic Crisp, like, basic one is just. That one's okay, too. I really liked it. But, like, I have purposely. I have not looked at the label to see how much sugar is in it. And I know that it's basically a beer. Like, it's 8% or 7% alcohol, which is a lot. I think that's high for a cider. But I'm sure that there's a crazy amount of sugar and I'm sure that there's a crazy amount of alcohol. So I don't really recommend drinking a ton of them. But if you're going to have like two or three and it's like really hot outside, this is going to be my beverage of choice for the summer, I think, because it's easy. [00:36:00] Speaker B: Anyway. [00:36:00] Speaker A: So, yeah, Two Town Cider House. I'm kind of curious if anybody else is into cider or getting into cider because apparently that's going to be in my repertoire. [00:36:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I feel like. Sorry. I am very specifically, like, looking up all this info on my next product because I didn't. I want to make sure that I get it correct. But yeah, I feel like this summertime in general actually. So funny that you did a drink because I was going to do it as well, but I. I am just like, not a big drinker. We all know that. But Matt got this new pack yesterday and he was very excited that there's a new seltzer pack. He's also a Seltzer boy. And just like the day today, he's a seltzer boy for sure, which I love. It's not like he's like drinking Coors Light or anything. But yeah, everyone makes fun of him. Like, I think on our. I don't know if he's gonna be mad if I say this, but, like, on our second date, one of my friends, well, we both had like, friends. We all went to a concert together. Anyways, one of my friends was asking his friends, like, what is one of Matt's, like, red flags? And they were like, how. How much he loves Trulies. So that is just like our running joke of like, Matt's red flag is that he's a Truly lover for sure. But anyways, he came home last night and he's like, babe, there's a new, like, Truly pack. And I was like, oh, my God, what a game changer. There's a new Truly pack. So in case anyone's wondering, there is like this new pack that it's like all the good ones. So it's like a watermelon, a berry, an orange crisp or something. And then the other one is like true blue. And I'm like, what the is true blue? So we tried it last night. It's kind of like just like a fun. I would Say it's just like, not cotton candy, but just like kind of like that vein of just like silly. Anyway, Cotton candy Truly. I mean it's not, it's not that flavor vomit inducing. But it's not like anything specific. You know what I mean? It's just like a sweet, like fun fruity. I don't know. Okay, yeah, anything. Anyways, fair enough. But yeah, just in case you're wondering. Anyone? Any other Truly fans out there? Yeah, there's a new Truly pack in case you're wondering. [00:38:11] Speaker A: So I feel like it's been a long time since we've done a taste testing episode. Maybe we should do like every year they come out with seasonal things, right? Truly and White Claw. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All these like other seltzers. Maybe it's time that we do a taste testing thing for the summer. Anyway. [00:38:24] Speaker B: Yeah, we should incorporate that into our plan. [00:38:27] Speaker A: Little teaser, teaser, teaser. [00:38:29] Speaker B: I have one more. I'm sorry I brought up the Truly situation, but I have one more that I do want to talk about because. Okay. Get it girl. Side side note, they are one of my sponsors on TikTok, so I do want to kind of highlight them. You can follow my link in bio. No, I'm just kidding. But I do have like an affiliate code with them and it's not a code that you can actually just like say it's not like my last name or anything. But if you follow me on Tick Tock and we'll link this at some point eventually when we figure all that out. But it is called Enamel and it's spelled E N M L and they are a toothpaste and mouthwash tab company and so it's actually so cute they like pride themselves on how cute their packaging is because. Because we all know that like that is like gets girls like half the way there. You know what I mean? It's just like cute packaging and like how it's presented to us. But they come these really cute little bottles. They're like very travel friendly. Like I think I might have talked about this. Oh no, maybe it's just because it's in my Tick Tock video. But anyways, I was looking into toothpaste tabs for like when I was doing my through hikes last year because you know, you just want to have like as light of a backpack as possible. So like instead of carrying around a toothpaste toothpaste tube, you just carry around these little tablets. And so every one is like a single use. It comes in a 60 day supply. It's really Great. Hopefully this doesn't sound sound too, too much like an ad, but it's just like, really easy. You do have to. I was ling so hard because this person commented on my video and I just, like, put the tab in my mouth and started brushing my teeth. And he was like, that is savage. Like, not putting water on your toothbrush or like any. And that is true. Like, it is pretty savage to not do that. So my beat just, like, add a little water to your toothbrush and then it will just, like, foam right up. I kind of wanted to just explain that it was like, it insta foams and like, it actually turns pretty quickly into like a normal feeling toothpaste in your mouth and, like, feels like actual toothpaste. But anyways, the mouthwash is also a great flavor, but it's just like a little bit more intense. Intense than the toothpaste. And that obviously you just, like, put in your mouth, chew it up, and like, swish around like a normal mouthwash would be. But anyways, packaging super cute. The blue one is the toothpaste and the green one is the mouthwash. And nope, I'm wrong. The blue one's the mouthwash, the green one's the toothpaste. Anyways, you wouldn't even know because, yeah, they're both like, sitting by my on my counter, but they're great for travel, like I was saying, and great for backpacking. Hopefully I can use them this summer and. Yeah, but I have been using the mouthwashes, which quite a bit like on Just a Day to Day because they're, like, super easy and quick, so nice. Enamel toothpaste and mouthwash, they're great. We'll figure out how to link them if you guys want to purchase it. And I do get a little kickback from that. Just so you know, you're supporting little small content creators like me for the end of the world type situation. [00:41:23] Speaker A: There's nothing wrong with the Hustle. I love it. [00:41:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:26] Speaker A: Okay, I have one more. And then since we're already, like, kind of further into the episode, maybe we'll just, like, end on a gratitude. [00:41:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:32] Speaker A: And make it kind of quick. Okay, so keeping on theme, dry skin is just a natural part of being an old lady. I don't love the foundations that I've been using, like the covergirl and the tarte has just really caked on lately, and it's not great. I don't want to have caked on makeup. So I bought this Ulta tinted moisturizer, and I've just been using that as like a foundation quote, unquote. So it's basically a moisturizer. It comes in a little tube. It's 15 from Ulta. And I love it. I've just been using, like, my little sponge to just like piece it together on my face and my neck. And it is all day. It doesn't make me sweat. It's like very thin on the approach and it just kind of gives me a good little covering. So, yeah, the. I think I will be utilizing that versus because I've just been a covergirl for foundation since the long, like, high school. And it's not that it's expensive, but it does feel rather heavy at the end of the day. Especially like, you know, when you're. I. I don't know about people, but I get at the end of the day lines in my eyes. [00:42:38] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:42:38] Speaker A: Because like, my eyeshadow will as well. Yeah. I have hooded eyes. So anyway. And this doesn't do that for me. So it's like very soft and easy and very lightweight. But it does last all day. And it's extra hydration because, kids, welcome to being 30. You have to take your hydration game, like, very seriously if you want to not look like you're a gross person in your 50s. [00:43:01] Speaker B: So. [00:43:02] Speaker A: Yeah, especially the amount of time in the sun that you and I slash you and me and everybody likes to spend in the summertime. So Hydration Ultra. It's the Ulta tinted moisturizer. It comes in a little too, but it's only 15 bucks. And I'm obsessed. I'm definitely gonna be using it forever. Branded products. Yeah, the Ulta products are pretty decent. I think they're like, that's great. Way cheaper. And I don't know, they seem to be working out really well. So continue that. [00:43:27] Speaker B: Cool. [00:43:28] Speaker A: That's my last one. Do you have anything else? [00:43:31] Speaker B: I. I mean, I have a ton of faves right now. I don't know why I had like a. A list, but I just picked a few. But yeah, we're gonna be doing more of these. We're gonna get on a more of a schedule. We will present this information at a later date. But look more out for candidly 30 this year. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm excited. [00:43:50] Speaker B: Six, baby. But yeah, that's my vintage Gratitudes right now. Are you ready? Do you have. Yeah, let's. [00:43:56] Speaker A: I do, actually. And I kind of wanted to be a little grateful for the community for Candidly 30 we've been doing this. This is like our 120th episode. Season four is gonna be launching April 1st. And we've made really good progress with, like, some changes and there's gonna be a lot more. More structure, content, and new things. And I'm genuinely very excited to see what we end up doing in 2026 with our Candidly. Our candidly stuff. So, yeah, I'm. I just want to be grateful for the community. Thanks to all the listeners who've been like, slowly limping along with us when we got through 2025 and before. And I was talking to my mom about this on my trip to California. Like, even if this doesn't turn into anything super big, like, that doesn't matter. It's a journal. Like, it's been a literal diary. Just like, you know, through all the various things that we've been over the past 30, you know, three or four years. In our 30s, we're, we're keeping track of. I don't know, I just find that in our 60s, our 70s or 80s, we're gonna be really glad that we had these really stupid, funky little episodes and we were laughing in our 30s about XYZ and about what's going on. So it just, it feels like a good exercise to continue to. To spend time and energy on. So I'm just really grateful for it. Yeah. Grateful for the, the candidly 30 community. [00:45:17] Speaker B: I would agree. [00:45:18] Speaker A: Yes. [00:45:18] Speaker B: And thank you to our editor, our production manager. [00:45:22] Speaker A: Our production manager. Let's give her a producer credit. [00:45:26] Speaker B: Renee Kin Shout Out I just want to be grateful for the spring. I mean, honestly. I mean, obviously I echo everything K. Flor just said, but also just like, mental health wise, like, I feel like we're coming out of it where we did jump forward this morning. And so it's light outside and it's feeling just like, really beautiful. I mean, it is just beautiful this weekend in general, but it's really, really nice to have more light, to just like, have the windows down. Just like stupid stuff that you, like, forget are so important. And it just feels so good and like we're. We're turning a corner and that we're gonna really be making some moves here shortly. So. Yeah, I'm really grateful for the fact that we are just like, coming into spring and summer is my favorite time of the year. I did see this post the other day that it was like, October. We will have like, sunlight until 7pm until October now. Like, just like, hope that, like, gets you through. Yeah, just like a little tough time. If you're having a rough time, a rough start to 2026. So. [00:46:24] Speaker A: Yep. [00:46:24] Speaker B: Anywho Obviously, we're grateful for all of you. And thank you. Thank you for being with us. Thank you, like Keefer said, for limping along with us. We're very excited. [00:46:34] Speaker A: Get ready for season four, baby. [00:46:36] Speaker B: We're excited for season four.
