[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:12] Speaker B: We weren't, like, swapping spit or anything, but, you know, I don't know. [00:00:15] Speaker A: Well, I would hope not. Anyway. [00:00:18] Speaker B: Welcome, welcome. [00:00:21] Speaker A: This is such a weird entry, but whatever. Hi, welcome. [00:00:25] Speaker B: Hi, guys. Can you even tell who this is? Because my voice sounds so sexy right now. Oh, my shoes right now. This is Kelly. [00:00:38] Speaker A: This is Kefler. [00:00:40] Speaker B: That's so funny. [00:00:40] Speaker A: I love that we both immediately went to sticky shoes. [00:00:44] Speaker B: It's the only thing. [00:00:45] Speaker A: Yeah, my voice is also a little sultry, but I don't feel sick. Sick. [00:00:50] Speaker B: Okay, good. [00:00:51] Speaker A: It's just because I. I've been on the phone for the last 14 hours and a half, so. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Yeah, your girl's got kind of a sultry voice. Oh, my God. Amazing. Well, we don't need to bring down. We don't need to bring down the vibes for sure, but, yeah, I definitely caught something. So this is just gonna be a quickaroonie. A quick. A quick stir. [00:01:15] Speaker A: Quickaroonie. We'll tell everybody. First and foremost, context is helpful. We're. Why are you feeling so. So icky? [00:01:22] Speaker B: Unfortunately, I mean, well, I think it's just like, the back to school situation at my office. And also, I have to be in an office now, and there's just a lot of humans. There's a lot of germs. Like, basically, my whole office was sick last week, and I was like, oh, I'm fine. I'm fine. And then now, this week, I have gotten it. But I think it's also because we had a really long weekend, which was great. We can talk about that in depth. But I slept probably 12 hours maximum on Friday night and Saturday night. [00:01:56] Speaker A: Wow. [00:01:58] Speaker B: Because, yeah, your girl. It's really hard for me to wind down these days, so I think I was just, like, overstimulation, getting home at, like, midnight, 12:30, having to wake up by, like, 8, 7:30. 8. So. [00:02:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:12] Speaker B: Yeah. But it was Sisters Folk Fest, and it was Cave's first ever Sisters Folk Fest. Well, not first. Going to. Right. Have you been to it before? No. You've just only been to Big Pondero? [00:02:22] Speaker A: I. I think I've been. I thought I went to Sisters Folk Fest last year, but don't quote me on that. I. It may have been my first time. [00:02:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:32] Speaker A: Maybe Big Pondero. Definitely. Where did AJ Lee play? Was that En Broco? [00:02:39] Speaker B: That was Big Ponderou. [00:02:40] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, then probably just Big Ponderos, but yeah, it was lovely. [00:02:46] Speaker B: It was our first time. Yeah. But also so wild. Like, isn't it so crazy different than Big Ponderou? Like, I mean, Just your, like, zero waste situation was, like, completely different because. So if for people who don't know, Sisters Folk Fest is three days, and Big Ponder is only two days. But Sisters Folk Fest is spread out amongst seven different stages across Sisters. And so, yeah, it's pretty like, it's just this different vibe. It's like, a completely different experience for, like, a music festival because, like, you get to, like, wander around town and go in between stages and stuff, and then there's different things. There's different vibes at every stage. Anyways, Keith was responsible for, like, one side of the festival, and then her CO was responsible for the other side. [00:03:35] Speaker A: So I had the north side. It was like. [00:03:38] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm Kelly of the south. And so I think we've talked about this before, but my co, her name is also Kelly, and so she is Kelly of the North. So she was sweet as human. Yeah, she's so sweet. She's technically. Kefler was technically Kefler's volunteer coordinator, but we kind of all do the same thing, you know, we're just, like, there together, and we support each other because it is a lot. Like, it's a big festival. There's a lot of volunteers. There's a lot of needs. And so it's also just fun to be able to balance things off of each other and then try to figure out where we need people and all of that. So, yeah, we, like, got to get out and see some music and got to hang out and slept very little, but that's okay because, yeah, it's pretty wild that Sister Spoke Fest goes until, like, 12:30 at night because it's in town. Like, there's no noise ordinance or anything like that, so it's pretty cool. What was your favorite part? Or what's, like, your big takeaway? [00:04:34] Speaker A: I do think that Sisters got very rowdy in comparison to the Big Pondero. Although at Big Pondero, didn't we all go to the saloon afterward and we hung out? Yes, yes. So, yeah, it just was very happening, and the saloon was popping off, like, every night. And Oliver Lemons had some pretty good shows. Like, I don't know. It just felt very alive and very mobile. Tons of people are walking around town, like, constantly. Yeah. And it's nice. Like, I didn't really get a chance to cross paths with my CO Very often because, like, the zero waste in of itself is a really big job. And at that park, the one that she was at, I. I know from experience how demanding that can be, but she was nice. But it Was cool that you and Kelly got to walk around town together and, like, yeah, go see all the kinds of shows that you wanted to and say hi to everybody. Like, that was really cool. I wish that I had gotten a chance go and see different shows. But, yeah, the venue that I was at is really lovely, but it was kind of quiet, so, yeah, it had [00:05:44] Speaker B: sleepy options for the mature folks. Yeah. [00:05:50] Speaker A: So otherwise it was great. Like, I love that the community of people who put it on are always very welcoming and sweet, and you get to meet, like, really amazing people, and everybody's just trying to do, like, a good job. Yeah, yeah, it's always great. I. [00:06:06] Speaker B: It's such a good group of people. [00:06:08] Speaker A: Big takeaway. [00:06:09] Speaker B: I think that too. Like, I just enjoy so much, like, the volunteers. Like, so we, as the volunteer coordinators, have actual volunteers in our building, like, because we have this, like, office that we kind of set up that Kayla had organized, like, two years ago so that we have, like, a station for volunteers to have snacks and wi fi and bathrooms and, like, kind of just like a landing pad. And then the first night when it was so cold, they, like, kind of come and came and hang out, hung out. And. Yeah, it was just really nice to have, like, a little spot where we could, like, people always knew, like, we were going to be there, whatever. But, yeah, it's. It was really cool, too. So in my location, like, we have volunteers there always just sitting, keeping the volunteer office open. And then also we have roamer volunteers that come in and check in with us and then work with us throughout the weekend as well. And so we are responsible for volunteers, but we're. And we're also responsible. Responsible for, like, all of the volunteers, for all of the leads. And so anyways, it's just a big job, but it's so fun, like, getting to sit with and always, like, the same volunteers, like, want to work in the volunteer office every year and, like, hang out with us. It's a pretty, like, cush, chill job. So, yeah, it's really nice. And so I just, like, love them so much. And so, like, we get to know each other and then I, like, they're all, like, of course, like, from Sisters or Eugene or something like that. And so then they come back a year after year. And so it's just, like, fun to visit with them and see them every year. And, like, it's really fun for them to, like, know our names. I mean, I think it's easier for them to remember our names because we're both Kelly. And so they're just like, oh, this is so much easier. Like, they're just like, oh, the Kelly. Wherever we walk, everyone's like, oh, Kelly north, Kelly south, blah, blah. And they even call this, like, salt and pepper Kelly's this time because she has. She is a brunette. And so. Yeah, anyways, it's just funny. Like, they are just so much. Like, they're so, like, inviting and warm and welcoming and whatever. But yeah, just like all the staff that they hired, it's really indicative of, [00:08:07] Speaker A: like, that area too. Everybody. [00:08:09] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:08:10] Speaker A: And sisters that I've met is, like, really wonderful. So, like, it's just a really cute little area. [00:08:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Anyways, we survived. It is a lot of work, though, no joke. Like, we are in the volunteer office from like 8:30am until like 10:00pm each night. And then on the last day it is until, like, but 4pm on Sunday. So anyways, it's a. It's a long, long days. And so it's really fun. Matt got to come this time and so he got to check out the whole situation and yeah. Just so he could, like, see what I'm actually doing when I'm, like, gone for so long and I'm like, I'm so tired. And he's like, why? Like, I don't understand. You're just, like, sitting in a room. And I'm like, anyways, yeah, so it was great. I'm so happy that Kefler joined the team. I love that you want to be a part of it. And it was just so fun this time too, because Kayla has actually, like, gotten a big crowd of our friends now because, like, like we said, like, it's a mature crowd for Sisters Folk Fest. And Big Ponderoo is a little bit more, like, young. I mean, depending. It's like, kind of dependent on, like, the artists that they get and things like that. But Big Ponder is kind of, like, directed towards younger folks. And then Sisters Folk Fest has just been around for so long and it's kind of an older crowd at this point. And so, like, she's just getting a lot of friends join the staff. And so it's really fun to be able to, like, hang out with all your friends. Like, we just had friends in, like, each of the different, like, areas. Like, we had friends in ops and friends in, like, venue monitoring, and we had friends in tokens and caves in zero waste. And I'm in volunteer. Yeah. So anyways, it was just like, such a good, good vibe this time that we got to, like, hang out with friends and had some people around all the time that we could just, like, call or text and. Yeah. So it was awesome. [00:09:58] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. They got. They rounded up a bunch of husbands too, you know, not just us. I feel like every time I hang out, it's always the lady show, which is very wonderful. [00:10:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:08] Speaker A: But this time we had some really cool dudes that I don't. I don't normally get to see, you know? [00:10:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:13] Speaker A: So, yeah, it was cool. They had. She's done a really good job of recruiting Squish in particular. [00:10:18] Speaker B: Yeah, definitely. Anywho, how are you doing this week? I mean, you got home kind of late on Sunday, so I'm sure you're just, like, recovering still. [00:10:29] Speaker A: I did, yeah. I got home around, I want to say, like, 8:30 on Sunday. Literally. Immediately took a shower because, like, I probably should have showered when I was working, but I just didn't because we didn't have time. [00:10:44] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:10:44] Speaker A: And I had to do like, all the compost stuff on that last day, so I needed a shower and then I immediately fell asleep, so. So I don't really know. Actually. That's not true. We watched a movie called Wy V. Coyote or Wy. [00:10:58] Speaker B: Oh, my God, did you. I cannot believe we made that. Yeah, we just went to the movies last week. I need to update you on the movie situation. I'm going to add that to my list. But, yeah, tell me about it. I wanted to see it. [00:11:13] Speaker A: I loved it. It was so cute. And it's kind of nice to see, like, I don't know, a funny cartoon movie where the world's not necessarily ending, but, like, the. It was kind of like a Roger Rabbit situation. Right. There's, like, real people mixed with WB cartoons. It was a good movie. None of the cart, like, in the. Wile E. Coyote doesn't talk. [00:11:36] Speaker B: Right. [00:11:37] Speaker A: He has the signs. [00:11:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:39] Speaker A: So, like, I was very true to his character and, like, what I remember. And they had a lot of different Looney Tunes and things like that, which is really fun. But they didn't have a Marvin the Martian, who is, like, admittedly one of my favorite characters. Oh, maybe they'll do another movie. [00:11:55] Speaker B: Okay. Where they do, like. [00:11:57] Speaker A: Because this one is super popular. But I really liked it. It was good. You should watch it. [00:12:01] Speaker B: Okay, cool. Yeah. Because we. We were just like, gonna have a date night last week because Matt was gone while Sam was here, and then he came back in midweek and then I was leaving for Sisters Folk Fest. So anyways, we are having a date night and let's go to the movies. Like, we Always talk about going to the movies, and we never go because there's nothing good playing. And there was, like, three movies that we wanted to watch in theaters right now, and that was one of them. But we watched a bunch of trailers. But the one we ended up going to see, because I just have been seeing it on, like, Tick Tock and social media and stuff, was Final Destination. And is that what it's called? [00:12:35] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [00:12:37] Speaker B: Wait, I keep getting mixed up. Is it called Final Destination? Because I feel like, what? Okay, yes, it is. [00:12:49] Speaker A: Anyways, yeah, this is the film. French franchise. [00:12:54] Speaker B: Well, you know what? [00:12:55] Speaker A: I was. [00:12:55] Speaker B: You know what I was talking about. I was telling you over the weekend. I was like, is that what it's called? Because there's that other one that's, like, kind of similar, that has, like, a bunch of them, and they're all, like, scary movies, whatever. And there's like a million. Anyways, doesn't matter. Okay, so we saw the new Final Destination movie. Because I've been seeing that. It was like, the best Final Destination movie that there is out there. And it was. I guess I just did not know what Final Destination was because it was so spooky. Like, oh, boy. But, like, in a good way. I mean, I saw, like, the trailer and stuff. Like, I was like, oh, I can handle this. But then I don't know if you know, but it's like a zombie movie and so. But it's, like, based off of a video game and so. Well, I know, you know, but like listeners, it's based off a video game. And so the whole time it's, like, a little bit comical. And, like, I was cracking up because the main character is, like, so funny and. But it's, like, scary at the same time, so it's, like, kind of confusing. And Matt's like, I don't think you're supposed to be laughing. And I'm like, I'm pretty sure this is, like, very parody. Like, like, there. This is, like, ridiculous. You know what I mean? And he's like, well, you're supposed to be scared. I'm like, no, I'm very scared. But also, like, the main character is, like, so, so silly. Like, I don't know. He just, like, gets out of everything, you know, because it's like one of those scary movies where you're like, please don't walk in there. Please don't open that. Why are you doing that? Oh, my God, of course. And then he opens it and then something pops out, you know, and you're the whole so the whole time, you're just like, you're an idiot. You're an idiot. You're an idiot. And then. But he's, like, kind of funny at the same time. Anyways, highly recommend. It is gross. It is gory. It is, like, pretty spooky and, like, pop outy. But, like, it was better than I thought it was gonna be. Like, I walked away and I was like, okay, like, I did not hate that. Like, it was very good. It was, like, definitely, like, up that Sally. But anyways, if you are into those movies and you, like, kind of know things about Final Destination, I would say it's, like, highly recommend because, yeah, it was, like, pretty. Pretty silly and pretty good. And, like, the whole plot line is just, like, so ridiculous. And so our, like, roommate went and saw it the other day, too, and he was like, oh, my God, it's so good. I was like, okay, well, anyways, if you're into those kind of movies, I think you would think it's, like, quote, unquote, like, so good. But not. Not my. Really my jam. But just in case you're wondering, you can. You can definitely see it. [00:15:15] Speaker A: It's like, a dude movie. Yeah, I feel like my husband would be into that. Or he's seen all the other final. Final Destination ones. So, yeah, I think it's a dude movie. But, yeah, these are fun to kill, I guess. [00:15:28] Speaker B: Yeah, totally. [00:15:29] Speaker A: What other movies have you seen? [00:15:30] Speaker B: Have you been watching nothing too? I haven't really had time to watch movies lately. Actually, I did watch. Oh, my gosh, what did I watch the other day on Amazon? Oh, I don't know. Anyways, but I haven't just been, like, absorbing, like, day in and day out the last two days. This, like, Cornell 7 thing. Have you been following this? I don't want to bring it down too far, but it is so insane. [00:15:58] Speaker A: I mean, I heard about it, but I don't know. Yeah, I didn't do a deep dive. So, like, tell us about it. [00:16:04] Speaker B: It's a little, like. It's very intense. So, like, trigger warning, trigger warning, trigger warning. But it's, like, very just like, on Brand with, like, kind of like, Lindsay Clancy. Wait, can we talk about Lindsay Clancy really fast, too? Because now they brought. They're bringing Lindsey Clancy back onto trial, and Kevin Reddington, her, like, bulldog lawyer, defense lawyer, just, like, went on record because I was so confused. Okay, so, like, I know I don't think we've talked about this on the pod before, but, like, please look into it. If you have not paid attention to it, because everyone was just like, oh, this woman murdered her children. I am of the belief that she 1000% did not murder her children, but that is a completely different story. I think her husband did it. He is guilty as a dog. It is crazy. But anyways, I digress. So Kevin Reddington came out today. He said that Lindsay never confessed to murdering her children. She does not remember it happening. She was in a manic state, but she doesn't remember it happening. And before, like, when people like Patrick Clancy, her husband, like, went on record because literally the entire Internet was gunning for him and saying that he murdered his children, because he did. But he was like, I am not on trial here. Like, why is everyone attacking me? Like, he literally did a cease and desist during the trial because people were like, you are so, so, so, so, so, so, so guilty. Anyways, all that to be said is he went on 60 Minutes last week and, like, did a little number with his new wife, and she's very pregnant. Anyways, it's this whole thing. But before that, Kevin. When people were asking Kevin Reddington, this, like, incredible defense lawyer, he was, like, the star of the show, for sure. [00:17:53] Speaker A: For sure. [00:17:54] Speaker B: He, like, went on record saying, like, Patrick, like, was just a happy husband, whatever. And, like, this terrible thing happened to him. Like, I wish the Internet wouldn't, like, attack him. So I was like, if Kevin Reddington doesn't think Patrick Clancy did it, like, oh, my God, my whole life is a lie. Like, I literally don't know what to think, because Kevin Reddington is, like, the best human in the entire world, and he is, like, so incredible. And so then I was like, oh, my God, my whole life is a lie. And then he comes out saying, today, like, I want this trial to go to trial on, like, who actually killed these children, Because, Yeah. So anyways, all that to be said is my life in my. Whatever. My whole brain is, like, opened up the fact that it is Patrick Clancy that killed his children. Just saying because Kevin Reddington said so. But back to the Cordell Seven. I learned all of this stuff on the Internet, so take it with a grain of salt. This is all alleged, quote, unquote, alleged. [00:18:54] Speaker A: And. [00:18:55] Speaker B: And they are basically these, like, seven boys who went to Cornell. This happened in 2024. A Jane Doe has filed a lawsuit against these seven boys, and then also against Cornell University for not doing anything about it. But she basically was gang raped in a frat house by these. I mean, it's all alleged again by these seven men. But there is an Entire, like, fraternity, like, Snapchat, basically, like, chat thing. And like, they had written in the Snapchat like, she's free game because she was, like, drugged. I mean, again, in college, people party, whatever. Like, yes, she was not in the right for, like, partying that hard and, like, doing drugs or being drugged, we don't know, whatever. And so she was unconscious. I can't say that word. Unconscious. Unconscious. Unconscious. Anyways, she was unconscious hours. Seven hours. And so God knows what happened to her in those seven hours. [00:20:03] Speaker A: Brutal. [00:20:04] Speaker B: And there's 57 of these frat boys on this, like, Snapchat text chain. And they said, like, have your way with her, whatever. And no one came forward. Is that insane? And then, so she, whatever, woke up. [00:20:22] Speaker A: Yeah, I think the most depressing piece of this. [00:20:25] Speaker B: Yeah, she woke up, she goes to her family, and then she goes to the university. The university didn't do a damn thing about it. She decides to drop out, go home so she can, like, figure her out and, like, recover. And her family asks the university to reimburse them for that semester because she wasn't going to finish her. Her semester. And they said no, first of all. And they said she needs to finish the semester. Is that not insane? Like, tell me the dean is a boy without telling me the dean is a boy. But anyways, yeah, so all these dudes [00:21:05] Speaker A: are, like white guys that are in their mid to late 40s and 50s. So, like, big shocker there. [00:21:11] Speaker B: I know. And so, yeah, right. In essay, they only say two of them. Two of them did get expelled. Five of them just had to write an essay. And so that's like, basically, like, what do you call it? Like, that's basically like explaining that you actually did it. So the fact that there was never a lawsuit bra is like, so insane. It's like, basically claiming fault. So anyways, but the fact that it went to the university, it went to the DA's office, and no one did anything about it. And it went to the cops. No one did anything about it. And now they're. It's becoming this, like, huge thing. And it happened in 2024. Like, how insane. We would have never heard about it if the girl ended up not, like, filing a lawsuit. You know what I mean? Like, this would not be all over the Internet if she didn't end up filing a lawsuit. It is like, so, so, so, so, so, so gross. And I love that the Internet is just blasting these boys names and. And they are just like, even like, the parents, the parents are, like, speaking out. And I Don't know. It's just so gross. And it's like the same mentality of, like, why we have the president that we have and why the Epstein files have never been released. It's just like, it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse and worse. And then you think like, oh, it's just these, like, disgusting, like, boomers. But no, it's these little frat boys also. And they're never getting any better. [00:22:35] Speaker A: It's indoctrination. Yeah, yeah, it's terrible. They can just get away with this because they let them get away with this. It's gross. Do you remember that guy Brock Turner from 2015? That girl in an alleyway behind a dumpster or whatever, like in Stanford or something. I check in on that guy at least once a year because they're doing a really good job of trolling him to online. He's like, going under his middle name now. [00:23:04] Speaker B: He's. [00:23:04] Speaker A: He's like, trying to. His mom is on some congressional body where they're trying to advocate for people to be removed from the. The list as, like, sexual predators. Like, she's advocating for that. Like, what is that about? I get it that he's your son and you're going to, like, defend him to the day you die, but why would you want that access for all the other rapists and people who are just targeting women? I just don't understand it. But. [00:23:30] Speaker B: Well, I do think it brings up such a fascinating point of, like, parents protecting their kids or, like, these student, like these deans or cops or whatever, like, trying to protect these boys. They're like, but what about their future? What about the girl's future? Like, I know also. What about it? Like, I literally. Yeah, it is so fucking gross to me. And I don't know, like, I am not a parent. I don't know what I would do in that situation. But, like, there is a lot of parents, like, speaking up, like, I will teach my, like, sons, like, right from wrong, and I will. And, like, the comparison of having, like, a boy and girl, daughters and son, and, like, the conversations you have to have with your daughters compared to the conversations you have to have with your sons are just, like, insane. And. Yeah, I just. Yeah, it's just crazy that in 2026 we're still having to have these conversations. And it just makes me really, really sad. So anyways, I know everyone's going to see it. I know it's all over the place. But, like, I legitimately, like, just with the Brock Turner guy, like, I hope these Seven boys, like names never leave the Internet and that they're forever, like, hated it. [00:24:36] Speaker A: We should name them, whatever, Google them and we'll put them here on our podcast. [00:24:40] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. I mean, I check in on him. [00:24:42] Speaker A: We'll just, we'll create a candidly list or whatever and we'll just check on all these people. As the years go by, we had nothing better to do. I check on that Brock guy. I check on a ton of people. I. I like to pay attention because these guys have been. I'm sorry, I don't mean to say this in like, be derogatory to all men because it's not the case, but it's these specific individuals with the mindset that they are above or that they can take advantage of rather than advocating for the other person. Like, that type of energy has been with us since the dawn of time. And like women, especially women and women of color and single women and vulnerable women have been the butt end of that from forever. So I saw this thing more recently. Obama was talking about, he's like on some kind of interview or whatever and he had mentioned being in office and like fantasizing about more women running the world because he married Michelle Obama and she, like, should legitimately run the world. [00:25:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:47] Speaker A: Had to, you know, elevate anybody to that type of position. She'd be probably my number one, or at least in my top five. But like, why can't men think like that? Why is it so disruptive to like, our psyche as a collective culture to not even fathom a woman president? To not even fathom, like, just somebody who's not misogynistic at the very least at an office like that, in that, like, level of control or that position of power. I don't know, it's. That's like a of mind that goes on like the world is not capable of breaking away from that tradition of the stereotypical white man who just takes advantage at the top of the ladder? Anyway. [00:26:33] Speaker B: Yeah, I digress. Oh my gosh, this is just a digressing episode. You know what I mean? I don't really want to end on a very depressing note, but yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna say their names. I've heard Matthew Ingalls and Jonathan Newell the most. I wonder if they're the two that got expelled or something. Winston Lee, Helio Lopez, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris and Scott Krestmar. [00:27:03] Speaker A: So anyway, they all sound like a bunch of Chads. [00:27:07] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't know. It's just. And also, you Know who actually end up exposing their names was one of the south park writers. He's considered a vigilante, but. [00:27:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I love that too. Oh la la. Yeah. [00:27:24] Speaker B: Anyways, yeah, it's just very upsetting. I mean, in this 2026 of being the most upsetting year of our lives thus far. As far as the world goes, the economy goes, the housing market goes, the job market goes, unemployment goes, the President goes, this administration goes. I would say this is just like fallen right in line. So here we go. And in the age of tick tock, like I'm, I'm here for it. Like, honestly, like, let those people. I don't even care if it's only. They're only like hated on for a month. Like that is more than anyone else gotten before. So like them, you know, we're in cancel culture era, which I don't love. But like, those are the people that need to be canceled. And yeah, I hate them. Anyway, I agree. [00:28:09] Speaker A: Have you been hearing anything about this, like Pink and Ed Sheeran and. [00:28:14] Speaker B: Oh yeah, I can't speak to it. I don't really know what's going on. I. I mean, yeah, like, so he basically was saying, see, this is where I get confused. I don't know if he was saying Free Palestine or if he's the other way because I don't really understand the like Palestine, Israel situation. Like, I know some people believe that we shouldn't be giving money to them and blah, blah, blah and whatever, but then other people believe that we need to like save them and then this administration is like fully funding them and supporting them. Anyways. The only thing I understand from the Ed Sheeran Macklemore thing is that Macklemore spoke out about it, basically. I can't remember which side he's on. And Ed Sheeran like didn't want that kind of like media attention basically. And so I don't know if it's that Sheeran or his like team or whatever, but like he asked Macklemore to not continue the rest of the tour and then everyone dropped out. Like, basically everyone who was opening for Ed Sheeran dropped out. And so I don't know if his tour even like kept going. Do you know that? [00:29:21] Speaker A: I only know that his shows have been extremely low attendance. And I think I know, like Macklemore had said Free Palestine. And so now Macklemore has his own tour called Free. That's the Free Palestine tour. I only watched snl, like just last night. So they talked about it on snl. I don't know. [00:29:44] Speaker B: Did You. [00:29:44] Speaker A: Do you still watch SNL or is that like a. An old person thing now? I still watch it. I think it's hilarious. Colin Jost and Michael J are like, so fun. So that happened because Ed Sheeran was like, I'm gonna support Israel. And like, people have opinions about supporting Israel blowing up Iran. So. And then Pink said something too. So Pink kind of came in. [00:30:12] Speaker B: Well, did you know that she's Jewish? [00:30:14] Speaker A: Ed Sheeran or said something? [00:30:17] Speaker B: Yeah, well, she's Jewish, and so she basically like, I. [00:30:20] Speaker A: This is the same thing we talked about with Gal Gadot. [00:30:23] Speaker B: Okay. [00:30:25] Speaker A: Yeah. So like, Gal Gadot, Pink, all these celebrities that are staunch Israel, Israeli and supporters, I don't know that they may not understand, like, the implication of defending a company or country that is like, actively trying to create genocide. Like, it's really challenging and it's a really hard topic to go over. But, like, in my opinion, you can still support the sovereignty of Israel and still support the sovereignty of Iran. [00:31:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:04] Speaker A: Like, maybe don't support genocide. I think it's like a world in which we can all live in a situation where, like, Israel can kind of calm down on his expectations about its right to the holy Land. And, like, Iran can stop. It's like frothing at the mouth of trying to take over the world. But, like, to be fair, that entire region has seen an extreme amount of interjection from the United States. [00:31:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:36] Speaker A: And I quite honestly would be like, why don't they, I don't know, just get out of there. Because, like, there's. You can't save them all. And the United States is so up, and it's not the first time that we're gonna fuck up, you know, foreign policy. It's not going to be the last time. You know, we'll do it again eventually. But it's just one of those things that Jared Kushner is not necessarily the person I would advocate to be the one to solve that situation. [00:32:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:32:03] Speaker A: And he's the one who's like, actively negotiating. So. Yeah. I just don't think we need to be at war with Iran. And I don't think that we need to bankroll Israeli health care when we don't have universal health care. Like, a lot of our tax dollars have gone to the infrastructure of that country. [00:32:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:21] Speaker A: And for, you know, I don't. I don't really. There's nothing I can do about it now, but I can talk about how I think they're fully formed country, they can probably self sustain and we should be paring back our influence on those areas. [00:32:36] Speaker B: I mean, where tax dollars are going is very upsetting right now. Anyway, so, yeah, this became a real episode, guys. Sorry. [00:32:45] Speaker A: Talking about the Middle East. Talking about [00:32:50] Speaker B: my news feed is these days. So, anyways, let's just. I gotta run, but let's just get out on our attitude. Does that sound okay? [00:32:58] Speaker A: Yeah, because everything was just grievances today. Sorry. This was like a grievance podcast. [00:33:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:03] Speaker A: I'm grateful for you. I'm grateful that, like, Sister Silk Fest was such a success. I'm having a pretty good week. Although my. My voice is tired. You can tell I've been talking a lot. But, yeah, I'm just grateful. And I can't believe we've been doing this podcast for so long. So, like, we're basically at another presidential election. Like, we're just talking about the elections again. I can't believe it. [00:33:26] Speaker B: Yeah. Midterms, baby. Everybody vote. Yeah. I'm very grateful for people who vote. I'm very grateful for people who stand up for themselves. I'm very grateful for you and Sister Spoke Fest and Kayla for hiring us and just, like, all the great music. It's just, like, I didn't know a lot of the bands going into this weekend, and it was just. It's so great every time. I just love live music so, so much. And it's just so beautiful when people do what they're passionate about. And I love that so much. Thank you for coming all the way over and hanging out and, yeah, we're grateful for you all for listening and sorry for our ranty episodes and that you guys are still here listening with us. And.
