[00:00:16] Speaker A: Welcome, welcome, welcome, [00:00:23] Speaker B: welcome. 37. Almost 36. Cantily 36. Get [00:00:32] Speaker A: out of [00:00:32] Speaker B: here's birthday is coming. [00:00:34] Speaker A: Literally thinking about my birthday the other day and we're like not that far off from 40. [00:00:39] Speaker B: Oh my gosh. Isn't [00:00:40] Speaker A: that crazy? [00:00:41] Speaker B: I can't believe you just said that to me. That's so rude. Stop it. I hate you. [00:00:48] Speaker A: I've been thinking about that lately. Anyway, welcome to candidly everyone. So excited to bum you out in the first 30 seconds. Jesus [00:00:55] Speaker B: Christ. [00:00:57] Speaker A: You thought we were gonna go one way and then together Anyway, it's [00:01:01] Speaker B: fine. Everything's fine. Cable and I literally were just talking shit about how we were born in the wrong timeline and like millennials really got this. End of the stick, everybody. I don't know how you guys feel, but damn this timeline that we're living in. Not great. If this is actually a simulation, like what are they trying to tell us? Like what's. Oh [00:01:18] Speaker A: my God, [00:01:19] Speaker B: you know what I mean? [00:01:20] Speaker A: Yeah, totally. I don't subscribe to the simulation. I do think that like if we look in comparison to other decades with different wars and different circumstances, like we are by far in a very innovative forward progressive, you know, even though it doesn't feel like it at the moment, but we are in a very progressive era. So I don't know, it's easy. I don't know. I just been spending a lot of time with like 20 year old dudes, don't ask me why. And it's like they're so bought into this theory that the world is going to implode upon itself and like, I just don't understand. The manosphere is at work, people, and it's poisoning all of our children's minds. I [00:02:00] Speaker B: wonder, honestly. Yeah. What their algorithms look like. Can you imagine? That would be terrifying place to be. [00:02:06] Speaker A: That is my worst freaking nightmare. Like, [00:02:08] Speaker B: I know, [00:02:09] Speaker A: hands down, I've never even thought about this before, but my worst nightmare is to like look and be entrenched into what, a 20 year old's tick tock algorithm? Yeah, [00:02:18] Speaker B: honestly, [00:02:19] Speaker A: in this day and age? [00:02:20] Speaker B: So [00:02:20] Speaker A: funny. [00:02:22] Speaker B: Anyway, [00:02:23] Speaker A: anyway, [00:02:24] Speaker B: yeah, we just were chatting about, you know, just the midterm election. Sorry, we're not gonna make this one a political one because I feel like our last episode was pretty intense. But yeah, [00:02:34] Speaker A: we're just [00:02:35] Speaker B: talking about the midterms and we got, both of us got our ballots. So we're very excited to vote in [00:02:39] Speaker A: this [00:02:39] Speaker B: midterm and we just really recommend and highly, I don't know, want you guys to vote. Please, please, dear God. Vote. [00:02:47] Speaker A: Everybody gets a vote. Yes. Dear God. Like, how is this 20, 26 and people are still not vot. [00:02:53] Speaker B: Especially [00:02:54] Speaker A: even in California, obviously [00:02:56] Speaker B: in our presidential elections, because look where we fucking are. But especially in your local elections, like, so, so important. [00:03:03] Speaker A: They give [00:03:03] Speaker B: you those little ballot books for a reason. Like you can read up on all of the measures and all of the whatevers and then your local, your local representatives and everything. The representative votes are going to be so freaking important at this point. [00:03:17] Speaker A: Have you [00:03:17] Speaker B: been following the like, Texas race with James Talarico and [00:03:21] Speaker A: Ken [00:03:21] Speaker B: Paxton? [00:03:22] Speaker A: Yes, I've been following that race. I've been following Michigan's race. I've been following Maine's race. I've been like, yeah, trying to pay attention, but I don't want to make any predictions because I'm going to jinx it, [00:03:33] Speaker B: so. Yeah, totally. [00:03:35] Speaker A: But one of my favorite, like, events that I do for myself as I've gotten older is to really give myself the time to disseminate the information and really absorb what's in those ballot packets, the pamphlets that we get. And then like research online and try to get different perspectives from a more conservative leaning or a more liberal leaning, you know, just give yourself like some exposure to all of it. I know that like, it's. I'm very much a progressive, like liberal feminist to the core, but I think it's important to understand like how the other party talks about the issues. Like what's. What sticks? Are they pulling out? Because I've been watching a lot of like the Tina Kotek YouTube at whatever ads that she has in comparison to Christine Drazen and then looking at Christine Drazen ads and how they compare to Tina Kotak, like, it's really trippy. Anyway, [00:04:28] Speaker B: yeah, sorry for [00:04:29] Speaker A: everyone [00:04:29] Speaker B: who doesn't know. Those [00:04:30] Speaker A: are [00:04:30] Speaker B: the people up for the governor for Oregon. And also it's so interesting because. And again, I find it fascinating that people don't vote in their local elections because that is like where your taxpayer dollars are going. Cafler and I have talked about this endlessly. Cafler is [00:04:44] Speaker A: totally [00:04:45] Speaker B: shooketh at how much we pay in Oregon state taxes. And so it so important that you vote in your local elections because that's actually where you're actively where your money is going to. I mean, I know the state stuff gets distributed a little bit with, you know, federally and everything too, but anyways, yeah, I also find the Christine Dren and Tina Kotek race very fascinating. And just like all the wording around how Tina Kotak kind of, she promotes Christine Drazen as like, a Trump supporter until she didn't want to be. Whatever. Seen as, like, a Trump supporter. So now she doesn't. Anyways. And so it's so funny. Like, there's definitely just like, a way that they. Yeah. That they, like, make their ads to make them, like, definitely centered toward the certain person. But anyway, I. [00:05:41] Speaker A: It's also hilarious to watch all of these, like, more conservative Republicans try to, like, backtrack what they said when they were. They're so hilarious. I watch the. Have I got news for you now with like, Roy Wood Jr. And Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black. And it is so funny to watch them, like, just tear apart into these Republicans who are backtracking hard. We're making this a political. Anyways. [00:06:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Wait, like, is. Are they looking at, like, some of the, like, representatives for the states and things like that, or are they all, like, governor? [00:06:14] Speaker A: No, they, like, do governor and local election people too, like council members. They. I don't know. They talk about a lot of stuff, but it's some pop culture too. They talk a lot about, like, the Supreme Court and all the internal systems and guts of government that are being led by, you know, president nominees who are really, really incompetent. Cash Mattel. [00:06:37] Speaker B: Yikes. [00:06:39] Speaker A: Like, shit like that that they like to just poke fun at and make it a more sa. Like a sart satire. [00:06:46] Speaker B: Satiric. [00:06:46] Speaker A: Anyway, I also. Yes, thank you. That was the word. [00:06:50] Speaker B: No. You had a long day. Coming off of going to work at 5am, everybody. So we can give her a little grace. [00:06:58] Speaker A: Yeah, thanks. I came home all hopped up to record. I'm very excited. Amber Ruffin is the best. I don't know who that is. So funny. Oh, you gotta get introduced to her. She's incredible. [00:07:07] Speaker B: Not to pivot like, so, [00:07:08] Speaker A: so [00:07:08] Speaker B: fast, but I do have to make a public service announcement. Okay. Have you seen this Olip Pop? It is the pomegranate sparkle one. It is in. I [00:07:18] Speaker A: know. [00:07:18] Speaker B: Is it new? I don't know. Because I'm an Olipop. Stan. I will say hands down, [00:07:24] Speaker A: I've [00:07:24] Speaker B: tried every. Kelly [00:07:25] Speaker A: does love an [00:07:25] Speaker B: ollipop. I do not like any of the other kinds of like, fake fibery, whatever, healthy sodas, whatever these things are called, but ollipops. Chef's kiss. Any users? This one disgusting. So just say [00:07:39] Speaker A: all that to say [00:07:41] Speaker B: I have never had an Ollipop that I do not like and I am sh. This one is not good. Who did this? I need to. I have a bone pick with Olipop. [00:07:51] Speaker A: It also looks like [00:07:52] Speaker B: support [00:07:53] Speaker A: abominable. I know. I think it's [00:07:54] Speaker B: supposed to be part of the, like. Yeah, the holiday flavors, because you know how they do. Like, the cream soda and the [00:07:59] Speaker A: ginger [00:07:59] Speaker B: ale are like the holiday ones. And this was in that. [00:08:02] Speaker A: I am so bothered as of late because all these freaking stores have Christmas shit already. Like, it's not even freaking Halloween. This is the same argument that I have every year. But, yeah, it's really annoying. I'm not ready for Christmas yet. Get that abominable snowman or whatever out of my face. Some [00:08:18] Speaker B: people, I've seen, like, social media girlies just, like, influencer people, like, starting to put up their Christmas trees and stuff because they're like, it's not a long enough. Like, one month is not long enough. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Like, I. I don't know. I just don't. I don't. [00:08:31] Speaker A: Life is bad, but you know what I mean? [00:08:35] Speaker B: So real. I just, like, do not care about it that much. Like, there's so much freaking work. And, like, I get it. It's a lot of work. So they want to do it early. But, like, I. I love a Christmas tree. I love, like, putting the ornaments on. Could care less about everything else. Matt loves all that stuff, so that's his arena. But yeah, I do not care about that kind of. So I'm just not one of those people. And also, where do you store that? Literally, where. Also, how much [00:09:01] Speaker A: money do you [00:09:01] Speaker B: spend on all that every year? Like, I. The whole thing to me is so bizarre. Like, my brain cannot [00:09:06] Speaker A: so Hallmark and so. Yeah, [00:09:07] Speaker B: wrap around it. Anyway. [00:09:10] Speaker A: Yeah, we never. I don't think I've had a real Christmas tree for the last, like, eight years because we built that, like, wood triangle and I put a bunch of ornaments on it and it worked. It looks really good. Anyway. Yeah, I am not a fan. You have to get through, like, the end of November because it's, you know, Thanksgiving, my birthday. Fall is still a thing. You know, Eat, like, the week after Halloween where you eat all the crappy Halloween candy that you didn't eat on the night of Halloween. So, like, getting Christmas out of my face before at least December. The second week of December, [00:09:43] Speaker B: definitely. Wait, we have breaking news. I don't know if I've told you yet. Matt got a 3D printer. Did I tell you? [00:09:53] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Oh, [00:09:54] Speaker B: yeah, I know. I feel like we haven't talked in so long. Sorry. You just reminded me because you were talking about making your Christmas tree. Matt has [00:10:02] Speaker A: been [00:10:02] Speaker B: making A bunch of, like, Halloween decorations Now with the [00:10:06] Speaker A: 3D printer because [00:10:07] Speaker B: you can make. They have all these like, cute little, like, tea light. Light things where they, like, light up and whatever. He made like, this haunted house and like this little pumpkin thing. And anyways, it's actually like, very fun and like, we're doing a lot of, like, practical things with it as well. But I just like, every [00:10:22] Speaker A: time [00:10:22] Speaker B: I'm like, you should talk to Kayla's husband about it or you should ask him these questions, because I don't fucking know, like. And anyways. But yeah, he is. [00:10:30] Speaker A: I would not recommend that. My husband just spent like two and a half hours with Haley and Duncan to move into their house and, like, wire their house for Ethernet. And all he did was just confuse Duncan more. So used him sparingly. He's just gonna confuse everything and take it to the max. Like, he's just that person. So. [00:10:48] Speaker B: Okay, yeah, Matt is actually doing a really good job. He. I mean, just with like, all this stuff he already knows and how he's doing everything and customizing and he got like the like, thing that scans and then you can, like, make the print from that. I don't know what it's called. I don't know. Anyways, yeah, he's very, very in. It's definitely pet project for a little bit. So he's not destroying our house, which is really lovely. He's not tearing it up and [00:11:14] Speaker A: making it more new project with all the upgrades that he's doing. [00:11:17] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, totally. I mean, he did just like, build some shelves in his office just to like, store all of the plastic. Whatever, TPLA, PTFUs and whatever. I don't know what it's called, but anyways, we have some pretty cute. Oh, wait, actually, look it. I got some cute. [00:11:36] Speaker A: I don't know if you can see this, but it's like. [00:11:39] Speaker B: It's like [00:11:39] Speaker A: all different colors. That's so cool. It's a 3D printed dragon model and it's got like iridescent purpley green filament, [00:11:48] Speaker B: so you can't really see. But he sits on like, the edge of my computer. So, like, he's like an. He's a ledge. A ledge boy. So it looks like he's sleeping on your computer. [00:11:58] Speaker A: Oh, my God. I want one. Tell him to print me one. So cute. [00:12:02] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, for sure. Anyways. But yeah, I. I was telling everything that your husband has made and stuff and just all the things that I knew how to make, and he's like, oh, yeah, but look at this app. And he's just like, has like a million things saved. I was like, wow, that's like, we're never ending. I'm never going to get anything on that list. So anyways, he like, throws little things in for me sometimes. But anyways, [00:12:25] Speaker A: I have so much money on like, TPU and different types of filaments [00:12:30] Speaker B: and [00:12:30] Speaker A: like having a [00:12:31] Speaker B: filament. That's what it's called. [00:12:32] Speaker A: You have. And my husband has like a dehydrator machine because, like, sometimes they get a lot. We have [00:12:40] Speaker B: that too. [00:12:41] Speaker A: Welcome to my life. I'm so excited to share this [00:12:44] Speaker B: experience [00:12:44] Speaker A: with you. [00:12:46] Speaker B: Yeah. So it's been really fun. Well, so what's actually crazy is we were talking about over the summer, he had bought like a bunch of things online for the rv. Just like little Shelby things, little like, organizational things. It's like really the main thing was like this filter for air filter basically for smoke. So you can like add one of those filters that you actually put in like a house in there because it only like, sucks air. Anyways, long story short, so anyways, all these things he was buying online, he's like, I could just print this because they're all just 3D printed. [00:13:18] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:13:19] Speaker B: And so he got really into that idea of like selling RV like accessory kind of things. And so we were like, oh, man. So he really wanted to like, make his own, like, RV channel and like, do all these like, upgrades because he's done like so many things to rv, you know, just [00:13:34] Speaker A: like [00:13:34] Speaker B: so many additions and little tweaks and whatever. And so that was our, like, next million dollar ideas that we're gonna make it big off of his, like, RV whatever you call that adjustment. [00:13:47] Speaker A: I love that idea. Stranger things that happened. That's incredible. [00:13:51] Speaker B: Yeah. But he actually, like, really enjoys it. And it's just so nice because the 3D printer goes like all night. So there's like literally something printing 24 7. Because he has so many things he wants. But yeah, it's nice. It can go all night and everything. And so you can just like print off really fast and then ship it off and y. [00:14:07] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:14:07] Speaker B: yeah. He has all these ideas for, like, designs and I don't know. Anyway, [00:14:10] Speaker A: can I tell you a funny story? We were like staying. We were moving or something. At one point, I was sleeping in a room with like three 3D printers that he had, like a stretch project. Anyway, they were all going all the time, 24 7. And I had to sleep in that room. Oh, my God. And they like make those little scratchy noises. [00:14:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, totally. [00:14:33] Speaker A: I'm so excited you're gonna get so annoyed with this in like, two and a half months. You're gonna be like, why would filament everywhere? [00:14:40] Speaker B: Yeah, it's pretty. I mean, the amount of waste is kind of crazy. Like, I didn't expect that. And like, a lot of these, like, Halloween things that we're making, they have all these, like, crazy, like, for the listener. They're like weird trees that it grows on the side, so it's like, holds it up while it's building it because, you know, it's like making like, hot plastic, basically. [00:15:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:15:01] Speaker B: So anyways, I don't like that there's that much, like, waste of all, like, those trees when you have to, like, rip it off, cut them off, whatever. [00:15:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:15:08] Speaker B: But we might as like, come up with a bunch of ideas to. To like, appease me that what he's gonna make with all the, like, extra little, like, doodads and whatever. So we'll see what happens. Like melt it down and make it into something else. And there's like, another thing that, like, makes it into filament again, which is kind of cool too, but [00:15:24] Speaker A: probably filament. [00:15:27] Speaker B: That's just way too much like another machine. You need to, like, tell [00:15:30] Speaker A: me about [00:15:31] Speaker B: it. [00:15:32] Speaker A: You [00:15:32] Speaker B: know what I mean? [00:15:32] Speaker A: Machines and automations do I have in my house? Girl, we could be here all day. He should call your brother, though. Have you talked to your brother? Because your brother was into 3D printing for a little bit. [00:15:42] Speaker B: I don't know if it was him or if it was the other one. [00:15:45] Speaker A: Oh, I was trying to think [00:15:46] Speaker B: about that as well. But yeah, I haven't talked to him in a little bit. It would be great to catch up with him. Yeah, I talked to my dad for a long time yesterday. [00:15:55] Speaker A: We should have him on as a guest. We haven't had him on since, like, season one or something. [00:16:00] Speaker B: Yeah, literally. Yeah, it's been a minute. He's doing good. They. He just, like, got ready for winter, like, got all their firewood ready and all that. That stuff. So [00:16:10] Speaker A: good. [00:16:11] Speaker B: Yeah, they're hunkering down for winter. Hopefully they're doing some. They're laying low for a little bit because they've been on the go. And then we're gonna see them in less than a month in [00:16:18] Speaker A: Hawaii, [00:16:19] Speaker B: so that will be great. And [00:16:21] Speaker A: are they worried about the El Nino [00:16:23] Speaker B: relaxation? [00:16:23] Speaker A: Because it's going to be really cold, right? [00:16:27] Speaker B: Not as cold, but definitely, like, rainy. And then also they just got hit by a hurricane like a month ago or less. So that they're [00:16:35] Speaker A: trying to hurricane. [00:16:37] Speaker B: Oh, sorry. In where we're going in Hawaii. [00:16:39] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:16:41] Speaker B: And so they are still trying to recover from that. So we're not sure, like, what all is open and what we can actually do. [00:16:47] Speaker A: And then [00:16:48] Speaker B: if it's still, like, kind of gnarly what we'll do. And also, like, if it happens again, because I feel like a hurricane's been happening, like, every month these days. So anyway, we'll see. Fingers crossed. Everything's [00:17:02] Speaker A: good. Hawaii. Have you been paying attention to the Instagrams and the socials? Because something big came out of Hawaii with just your. [00:17:10] Speaker B: Yes, I did. Yeah. I was gonna bring that up as well. I was just thinking that about that before we came on. We have some very important news, everybody. Friend of the pod, Jaro. Jaro Lowski got engaged. Oh, [00:17:24] Speaker A: my God. [00:17:25] Speaker B: He just proposed to Sam, his lady friend. If you've been here for a while, you know that we were both single at the same time, and then we both started dating someone at the same time, and now they are engaged. They just been engaged. So [00:17:36] Speaker A: very [00:17:37] Speaker B: exciting. [00:17:37] Speaker A: They [00:17:37] Speaker B: moved to Hawaii together. They live on the big. Is just. Oh, my gosh, when was that? Last fall, so. Oh, my gosh, they've almost been gone a year. That's crazy. [00:17:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that is crazy. [00:17:47] Speaker B: But [00:17:47] Speaker A: congratulations. I just think it's so funny. It's only been, like, two and a half years since he first came on the pod, and then didn't we have him on again? So he's a two. Yeah, before [00:17:57] Speaker B: he left. Literally, [00:17:57] Speaker A: like, right [00:17:58] Speaker B: before he left. Yeah. [00:17:59] Speaker A: And just crazy. We love that human. We love those guys. They're so fun and, yeah, [00:18:04] Speaker B: absolutely. Very happy for them. Yeah. So anyways, I got to talk to him briefly today. I just, like, said congratulations [00:18:10] Speaker A: and everything they [00:18:11] Speaker B: posted in. And I like team chat. Or not team chat. [00:18:14] Speaker A: Signal. [00:18:15] Speaker B: Signal. Chat. [00:18:16] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:18:16] Speaker B: I. I always say team chat because of work. Like, [00:18:19] Speaker A: yeah, [00:18:19] Speaker B: teams, whatever. Anyways, [00:18:21] Speaker A: Loki. Hate teams. It's a terrible tool. But, yeah, I also. You've never [00:18:26] Speaker B: used it before. [00:18:26] Speaker A: No. You [00:18:27] Speaker B: always use Slack, huh? [00:18:29] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:18:29] Speaker B: funny. Slack [00:18:30] Speaker A: and Google Mail, man, that's where all the big money's at. But, like, I mean, I work at a big company now, but, oh, I miss my Google mail, my Google Docs, all my Google things. But, oh, [00:18:40] Speaker B: funny, because when we switched from Google to team to Microsoft, [00:18:44] Speaker A: we [00:18:44] Speaker B: all were like, oh, my God, this is the worst thing ever. And then we're like, wait, no, it's actually. There's so many more capabilities with it. [00:18:50] Speaker A: Really, [00:18:51] Speaker B: It's Nuts. Yeah. So, [00:18:53] Speaker A: so, [00:18:53] Speaker B: so much more. The chat is so much better and how you can do everything in chat, like do all those channels and that's where we store everything like literally is in our team teams chat. [00:19:03] Speaker A: So you're lucky then [00:19:05] Speaker B: where all of our shit is. But anyways, yeah, we are like the government is ridiculous and they. Microsoft will not win the contract for teams again and so it's probably going to go back to Google. So we're just going [00:19:21] Speaker A: to [00:19:21] Speaker B: change every whatever four years or whatever the fuck. But no, I'm. I'm just being negative. I just know that they like, they just like to, you know, throw a wrench in things and just make our lives hard every once in a while. I [00:19:33] Speaker A: mean [00:19:33] Speaker B: every day, every once in a while. I mean like every. All the time. [00:19:37] Speaker A: Like every day, every hour. Yeah, [00:19:40] Speaker B: literally. Anywho, do you want to give any updates on your work stuff? [00:19:44] Speaker A: I mean to [00:19:44] Speaker B: say you love it. [00:19:45] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm really enjoying it. You know that's probably not going to be the case in a year but. No, it's good. I'm learning a lot. My team is fabulous. Like really no big updates. I'm just busy like getting up at 4:45 typically. But today I woke up at 4:10 to be at the office at 5:30 anyway. It's just exhausting. I'm like in bed at 8:30 like a freaking grandma and out at like 9. But it's doing really well with my internal circadian rhythm or whatever, you know. [00:20:17] Speaker B: Yeah, I [00:20:18] Speaker A: don't want to be like a vampire and be awake at 4 o' clock in the morning. It just [00:20:22] Speaker B: totally [00:20:23] Speaker A: doesn't. That does not vibe very well with me. Yeah, [00:20:26] Speaker B: I know you had a busy weekend last weekend. What were you guys. Can you give me updates on that stuff? You [00:20:30] Speaker A: were [00:20:30] Speaker B: like all over the place. [00:20:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. So the weekend before last weekend, because today's only Tuesday, right. My aunt and uncle had come into town. That's Haley's mom and dad. And then I was hanging out with my grandmother who came into town and stayed with them and their two kids and we went to the pumpkin patch in Tualatin. It was so cute. Yeah, got to hang out with the dog. My grandmother stayed over the night with me. Was her first time like seeing my house, which was kind of interesting. [00:20:59] Speaker B: Oh cool. [00:21:01] Speaker A: Yeah, so it was nice to have her there. And then the next thing just. Just this last weekend like three, four days ago, I was helping Haley and Duncan move because they bought a new house. They literally closed in like seven Days I got a show. [00:21:14] Speaker B: I [00:21:15] Speaker A: want to the address. So they like put in. They put in an offer. They got, like rejected for a cash offer. That cash offer fell through because they wanted too many, [00:21:29] Speaker B: like, [00:21:30] Speaker A: changes and updates. And Haley, they came back to Haley and they were like, well, if you want it, it's available. And they closed in five days. And then they had like keys in hand and stuff, so. And it's really beautiful. It's like a two story house. They have a pool in Portland and like next to that is a gas fire pit and they have an outdoor hot tub area. They have this gorgeous, like 80 foot tall Japanese maple that's so, like bright, bright orange. You know how they can get during the fall? Yeah, it's really beautiful. I'm really happy for her. She has this. Cool. [00:22:06] Speaker B: Wait, did [00:22:06] Speaker A: they sell their other [00:22:07] Speaker B: house [00:22:08] Speaker A: or did they not rent [00:22:09] Speaker B: it? Oh, okay. [00:22:10] Speaker A: Yeah. So it's only like six or seven houses down the way. So they're like right next to it. So they're just gonna rent it out. [00:22:16] Speaker B: Nice to not move. Yeah, exactly. That far. Cool. [00:22:19] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:20] Speaker B: Wait, so were they just needing more space or what was the deal? They just saw it and we're like, oh, this is way more. [00:22:25] Speaker A: Yeah, I think they just walked into the open house and nobody was really biting at it. So they made an offer. Lost. And then they came back and just. It was kind of meant to be, I guess, because they weren't really looking. They had been really happy. She just started her. Dude, like, didn't just start, but she's working now. Both kids are in school. But yeah, they just like happened upon this house and it was done deal. I don't know. [00:22:50] Speaker B: Cool. That's amazing. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm really happy for them. They're very, very excited. We're gonna go over there for like Christmas Eve and do a pasta party. And when it snows, I'll have at least a hot tub in town that I can jump over to. Nice. [00:23:02] Speaker B: So. Cool. Yeah. Are they. No. So they're not closer to you. They're still like 30 minutes away. [00:23:06] Speaker A: Yeah, they're still 30 minutes away, but it's not too bad. It's actually closer to work too. So if I go there after [00:23:12] Speaker B: work. [00:23:13] Speaker A: So, yeah, I got to see a lot of Haley. And then I went to my other friend, had a baby shower. These are old friends of my husband's that worked at Nike and they invited us to a Halloween party. So we're like maybe gonna go back over there and do a Halloween thing, because that's Only two weeks away and I'm apparently not busy enough. [00:23:33] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Wait. Yeah. Less than two weeks. That's crazy. That is. I have. I know what I'm. We're being for Halloween, but I haven't really, like, put it fully together. Actually, I think we're okay. Yeah. Make it, but. [00:23:45] Speaker A: Well, I have two sets of onesies. That's just like such a cop out though, right? Like, you can't just throw on a onesie and call it a day. It [00:23:53] Speaker B: depends on the vibe because I feel like it's so comfortable and so much better to wear onesie. Like, I would prefer that, like, I'm just like, always want to default back to, like, my skeleton onesie [00:24:04] Speaker A: because [00:24:05] Speaker B: I just want to be comfortable and I don't want to dress up and it's warm and I'm always cold. [00:24:09] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:24:09] Speaker B: but I understand why you would say it is kind of a cop out. Like, I get that, but it depends on the. The like, community and the vibe and what's up going on in our friend group. It would not be a cop out, but. [00:24:19] Speaker A: Okay, fair enough. Maybe I need to not be so hard on myself. Like, I don't need to be. What are they one of those people who like, cosplay? You know, they get like, really into their. [00:24:29] Speaker B: Oh, [00:24:30] Speaker A: like [00:24:31] Speaker B: LARPers. [00:24:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't. Maybe I don't want to be on that level. I don't know. Yeah. [00:24:36] Speaker B: Literally. No. Anyways, [00:24:39] Speaker A: just [00:24:39] Speaker B: read the room and see and then I'll be fine. [00:24:41] Speaker A: Fair enough. Also, [00:24:42] Speaker B: you paid for them. You should wear them. [00:24:44] Speaker A: That's true. That's a good way to look at it. Tell me what your. Let's. Like, I don't want to make this a crazy long podcast because we're both exhausted, but tell me, like, your favorites. Tell me the things that you've been obsessed with. I have five or six of them. [00:25:00] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. Off the top of your head? [00:25:01] Speaker A: Well, I've been. You know, it's been like two weeks since we caught up, so I've been trying to keep track of stuff. [00:25:06] Speaker B: Yeah, no, that's fair. Okay, let's see. Off the top of my. Okay, you go first then. Actually, you're just putting me on this. [00:25:14] Speaker A: Okay. I want to talk about what I've been watching lately. So obviously the. Now I have. Have I got news for you. The John Oliver just came out with an episode about the. The Secret Service. It was funny. I. I know John Oliver is, like, not everybody's favorite, but I've been obsessed with him for like the last past million years. [00:25:40] Speaker B: You have? Yes. [00:25:41] Speaker A: The Secret Service episode in particular makes me like, instantly cures my imposter syndrome. Like, they such a level of incompetence and like their whole reason for being is pretty hilarious. So it is very much like a government critical eye. So, like, maybe you don't need to watch it. You're already dealing with a lot of that crap. But for other people who like to watch smart, journalistic, funny things like that, you should watch it. [00:26:12] Speaker B: That's funny. Okay. I mean, the incompetence just is at an all time high all around, so it's [00:26:18] Speaker A: cured syndrome. Like, I feel so much better about myself knowing that I'm not that incompetent. Like, wow. Because we're all adults now, right? Like, they're not the adults in the room. We're all adults. [00:26:31] Speaker B: At [00:26:31] Speaker A: least that's how I internalize it. [00:26:33] Speaker B: No, totally. You're so right. It's also terrifying that. That we're running a country anyway. Or that's running a country. Not we. I wish we were running a country, [00:26:41] Speaker A: honestly. I mean, [00:26:42] Speaker B: better. [00:26:43] Speaker A: You're all welcome to our country [00:26:44] Speaker B: at night probably. But I would feel a lot better about some things anyway. Okay. I'll just say a quick little. I feel like I've already talked about a couple of things. Obviously the 3D printer is like very exciting and like fun right now. I'm obsessed. And this is not like new, but like, I'm obsessed with like the tiny little diet Dr. Peppers. Like the little. I don't know what they call them. They call them minis, right? [00:27:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:10] Speaker B: That's been on my rotation lately. Just for like a little pick me up. I got like kind of into a Lonnie News also on like a drink standpoint. I got into a Lonnie news. And [00:27:22] Speaker A: what's a lot of news? What's that? [00:27:34] Speaker B: You haven't heard of Alani? Like a L, A N I. They're like. I mean, they were just like being sent to like every single influencer for so long and now they're like, kind of trendy. It's like kind of like a Celsius. It's like an energy drink. But they're like, healthy and they have like, no gross stuff in them, whatever. But they. I was like, everyone drinks them and everyone like, talks. Especially like this time of year because they have one called Witch's Brew, and apparently it's [00:28:02] Speaker A: like the [00:28:03] Speaker B: best flavor of all time to ever come out of the world or something. But I've never tried it and I'VE never seen it in stores or anything. So anyways, I was like, I want to try like a couple of these. So we like got some so we could do like kind of like a taste test, Matt and I, and all of them are gross except for one. So I'm like, is there something wrong with me? But I just don't think. I like like sweet energy drink typey drinks. So. Sorry. All that to be said is I'm still sticking with my mini diet Dr. Peppers. So [00:28:31] Speaker A: Dr. Peppers are also very sweet. But fair enough. [00:28:35] Speaker B: No, [00:28:36] Speaker A: Dr. Pippa. It's funny, I have been trying not to drink so much. Like, little less alcohol. So I have like fun seltzery things, but it's definitely not like probiotic or healthy. It's like full of sugar. They made Canada dry strawberry flavor. I like picked up a pack of it the other day and it is very [00:28:57] Speaker B: good. [00:28:58] Speaker A: I do like ginger ale. It like just really slaps. So there's also this seven up that's surely temple flavored. I don't know if you're into that, but that was also very good. I had that at a friend's house. I didn't. I have to figure out where to buy them. But that was really good at the baby shower, I think. Yeah. I feel like as we get closer to the Christmas time frame, I would not be mad at like a, a, a like a big old bowl of punch. And you, you know how you can do like a Christmas punch and do like ginger ale or whatever and. [00:29:31] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:29:32] Speaker A: kind of like a [00:29:33] Speaker B: sangria without the red wine. Totally. [00:29:36] Speaker A: Yeah. So I think I want to do like punches or something. This, that'll be like my theme for this Christmas. I don't know. [00:29:41] Speaker B: Cute. Yeah, that sounds good. [00:29:43] Speaker A: I do love butter, though. Some sodas. I know, so good. [00:29:46] Speaker B: There's love carbonation too. [00:29:48] Speaker A: Something [00:29:48] Speaker B: about it. It just like feels like a little treat or something. [00:29:51] Speaker A: Absolutely. A little treat. Go ahead. [00:29:54] Speaker B: My next one is just something we've been loving lately. Is we. I signed us up for Not We. Matt does not care at all. But I signed us up for Thrive. Well, I already used Thrive cosmetics, obviously, but Thrive market, they just have like such good deals on random things. Like, I don't really buy a lot of shelf or not shelf stable stuff in there. Like a lot of it is like snacks. Like, they have just like such good deals on like charm comps. I mean, Costco [00:30:22] Speaker A: has [00:30:23] Speaker B: good deals on those stuff too, but there's just like such a huge bag that like, we, we don't. You Eat them that quickly, you know. [00:30:28] Speaker A: Oh, really? [00:30:30] Speaker B: So. No, not really. So they just have like normal sized bags of things and they're always like so much cheaper than just like grocery store prices. So anyways, it is like a subscription. I think it might be, what is it, like $5 a month or something like that. So just they know that before going into it [00:30:51] Speaker A: because [00:30:52] Speaker B: they don't advertise that. I feel like when you're like looking or like getting ads for it and whatever. Anyways. But they do have a lot of other stuff too. Like I get sweet potatoes through them, I get onions and potatoes and I get kale through them. Like they have everything but like, I just get like kind of more stable things because it is shipped in the mail. I've gotten like oat milk and stuff before too. But yeah, they just have a lot of good, like pantry staples, like such good quality. It's kind of like on brand with like CTE with like [00:31:22] Speaker A: all [00:31:22] Speaker B: their like taco seasonings, those [00:31:23] Speaker A: kind of [00:31:24] Speaker B: chips, like that kind of like healthy, healthier food. Because I was like, really on like a we're not eating shit food this year type of kick. So anyways, they have all that stuff, which is like at a much more reasonable price than Whole Foods, where I was buying everything previously. The only irritating thing is, like I said, it's a subscription. So like, we'll be like, oh, your order is ready. And I'm like, motherfucker, do not send that to me. Like, we don't need anything right now. You know what I mean? So. But they're really nice about like, you can just like, you know, push it to the next month or next week or however your subscription is set up. So they're really not weird about it. They don't like get all cranky when you push it. So that's really nice. But yeah, I really am liking it so far. We've done it for two months now or so and everything we've gotten so far is like definitely still cold. Definitely, like, you know, feels refrigerated. It gets here quick. And we only had one thing, cottage cheese last time got like broke in packaging. [00:32:23] Speaker A: So [00:32:24] Speaker B: anyway, [00:32:24] Speaker A: bummer [00:32:25] Speaker B: fan. [00:32:25] Speaker A: Yeah, we were on Thrive market for a while, I think, like during or right before COVID Because they're good for Whole30 things. They have lots of different Whole30 stuff there, which is really nice and it's not. And you can like, [00:32:40] Speaker B: yeah, you can like filter by like any preferences you have if you're like gluten free or Whole 30 or like whatever. [00:32:45] Speaker A: You can't [00:32:46] Speaker B: have like nuts. They [00:32:47] Speaker A: should start. [00:32:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Honestly. [00:32:49] Speaker A: And if you need a friend code, I'm sure like you can send them a friend code, right? [00:32:53] Speaker B: Yeah, totally. Wait, I still. I totally forgot. I still have my like you. Why you like [00:33:01] Speaker A: the whatever [00:33:02] Speaker B: affiliate code? Yeah. And I have a commission on there. Like [00:33:07] Speaker A: really? [00:33:08] Speaker B: What am I. Yeah, but they're like, we won't pay you until you get like a hundred dollars or whatever. But I have like 50 something dollars in my commission in [00:33:15] Speaker A: there. I know. Everybody go buy stuff from this so Kelly can pay rent. [00:33:19] Speaker B: I know. My code is ellicanise, so just so you know, in case you want to buy anything. I do highly recommend their supplements though, because I'm obsessed with them. But anyways, not just because I get a commission, but [00:33:31] Speaker A: I [00:33:32] Speaker B: buy them all the time. So. Yeah, [00:33:34] Speaker A: you're making commission on yourself though. Like, you know. Oh, some [00:33:37] Speaker B: of it definitely is myself. Yes. Okay. Definitely. Yeah. Which [00:33:41] Speaker A: is like not the worst way to shop. Right? You get like, like points back. [00:33:45] Speaker B: No, totally. Yeah, it's really nice. So not mad about it. If anyone wants to use it at Kelly K on the yu. I can't remember what the actual website is. I think it's like, you beauty. Maybe we [00:33:58] Speaker A: will post it on the socials or. We'll try. [00:34:01] Speaker B: It's called you nutrition. [00:34:02] Speaker A: We always say that and we never do, so we'll try. [00:34:05] Speaker B: You're the one that always promises that. I [00:34:07] Speaker A: never once [00:34:08] Speaker B: have promised that. Yeah, I am not going to do that anyways. It's just funny. [00:34:14] Speaker A: Oh no. Okay. [00:34:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:16] Speaker A: Sticking with the fall theme. I remember forever and ever ago, Natalie would make acorn squash. She would like [00:34:24] Speaker B: dust [00:34:25] Speaker A: it up with like parmesan cheese and some olive oil or whatever. And I had not had them since, so I finally bought one for myself. It's literally in the kitchen. I haven't had a chance to like slice and dice it, but I'm planning on it. And I just had to throw that out there because. Because I talked to Natalie a week ago. [00:34:42] Speaker B: Cool. [00:34:43] Speaker A: Yeah, we had like a full on hour catch up kind of conversation. It was really wonderful. Like on my Sunday. So when I call my mom. My mom's in Italy for like the last month. Oh [00:34:52] Speaker B: yeah? [00:34:53] Speaker A: Yeah. So I just had to throw that out there. I'm doing it in memorance of Natalie. But also [00:34:58] Speaker B: amazing. [00:34:59] Speaker A: I love acorn squash. I did get [00:35:01] Speaker B: a [00:35:01] Speaker A: spaghetti squash. I know you eat spaghetti squash pretty often. Oh my [00:35:04] Speaker B: God, so much spaghetti squash. Yeah, we love it. [00:35:07] Speaker A: And then I had. [00:35:08] Speaker B: Wait, have you Seen. I've just been getting targeted because I think as fall for, like, how to cook squash, like, hard squashes like that, like winter squash, where you just throw it in the oven and then you, like, chop it and get all the out afterwards. So, [00:35:20] Speaker A: yeah, I've never [00:35:21] Speaker B: done that baloney. [00:35:22] Speaker A: I've never in my life done that. I would love to do that with, like, a fire and just, like, wrap it up in aluminum foil and just, like, throw it in the fire. But, no, I haven't done that. I have been seeing that a lot on Tik Tok, though, so maybe we're getting targeted. I don't know. Yeah. And then when my husband was gone in Colorado, I had a butternut squash and pumpkin raviolis from Trader Joe's. Those [00:35:46] Speaker B: are the best. Yes. [00:35:47] Speaker A: Kiss. So good. I kind of indulged because he doesn't like to eat any of the squash or, like, yummy flavors at all. So then I was, like, eating all the vegan dishes. He doesn't [00:35:57] Speaker B: eat anything yummy out. [00:35:58] Speaker A: No. [00:36:02] Speaker B: That's really funny. [00:36:03] Speaker A: Anyway. Acorn squash. Nice. That was my next one [00:36:07] Speaker B: then. I only have one other thing that I can think about the top of my head because Keith and I didn't talk about what we were gonna talk about [00:36:12] Speaker A: today. [00:36:13] Speaker B: But the other thing that I've been really loving lately is it's called Hani H A N N I. And it is like a water. Are they. What do they call it? I want it. Sorry, I want to get the wording. It's like a. It's like a. It's lotion, basically, but they call it, like, a moisturizing something. Something anyways. But it's like spray, actually. They have, like, multiple. They have, like, a salve, and they have, like, this, like, roll on one as well. The roll on one is so nice because I'm, like, lazy af. And it's so freaking dry here in Bend, and I love the feeling of, like, getting out of the shower and, like, putting lotion all [00:36:56] Speaker A: over my [00:36:56] Speaker B: entire body. How often do I do that? Maybe once a month, because I hate doing it. It's [00:37:02] Speaker A: just, like, [00:37:02] Speaker B: such [00:37:03] Speaker A: an extra. Yeah, [00:37:04] Speaker B: yeah. An extra step that I just, like, cannot bring myself to do Anyway, so I bought this in the hopes of, like, actually wanting to do it. And I still don't do it as often I do it as I should, but I still do it way more than I was, so I'm a fan of it. The spray is actually really nice and really easy. You do have to still, like, rub it in and Everything. But it's just so easy to, like, just spray it all over and it smells really lovely. They have, like, different flavors now. They only have, like one smell for a long time, but it's like the maroon one, it kind of smells like rose oil or something. But [00:37:34] Speaker A: the new [00:37:35] Speaker B: one, [00:37:35] Speaker A: there's [00:37:36] Speaker B: like a vanilla one that I really like anyways. So, yeah, it's just like, you know, people are just rebranding the same over and over again. But [00:37:44] Speaker A: I'm [00:37:44] Speaker B: into this one. I will definitely purchase it again. [00:37:48] Speaker A: And [00:37:48] Speaker B: everyone has, like, codes. And I got it on Amazon and it had like a. The not even for prime day or anything. And it was like, cheaper than if you just buy it from their website. So. [00:37:57] Speaker A: And it's accepted by the National Eczema Association. So, like, that looks good, right? [00:38:02] Speaker B: Oh, nice. We [00:38:03] Speaker A: love that some of the products, not all of them. Anyway. Cool. I do love rose oil. Like, the rose water smell is so divine. Yeah, I really miss. I used to have this [00:38:13] Speaker B: smell, like fresh and clean when you get out of the shower when you smell like rose. [00:38:16] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a good one. Like the toner rose thing. That from Trader Joe's. That's a good one. And yeah, I do love that smell. Okay, I have two more ones. A show, which I'm hoping. I haven't talked about this quite yet. Dark Matter on Apple tv. Have I spoken about this? [00:38:32] Speaker B: Okay. Yes. Well, [00:38:33] Speaker A: we're still watching it. It's incredible. It's basically the new silo and I'm obsessed. The last thing that I'm going to talk about. It's a little embarrassing. Don't judge me. How do. What are your thoughts about sour Skittles? Like, [00:38:45] Speaker B: oh, my God, I love them. [00:38:46] Speaker A: Okay. Even though they, like, tear up your mouth and they make my gums, I love them. Right. I'm obsessed. [00:38:51] Speaker B: Me too. [00:38:52] Speaker A: So they came out with a strawberry sour Skittle flavor. So it's like [00:38:57] Speaker B: just one. No, [00:38:58] Speaker A: no, no. It's like flavor in a [00:38:59] Speaker B: pack. [00:38:59] Speaker A: Yeah, it's like a bag that's [00:39:00] Speaker B: pink [00:39:01] Speaker A: and it's all the various, like lime and strawberry and lemon. But they're less. Like the granular. Granulars are less sticky. [00:39:10] Speaker B: Oh, pokey. [00:39:11] Speaker A: Yeah. So it's [00:39:13] Speaker B: like [00:39:13] Speaker A: melt in your mouth deliciousness. And I've had three bags in the last week. Like, it's bad. They're [00:39:21] Speaker B: so [00:39:21] Speaker A: good. That's so [00:39:22] Speaker B: fun, honey. Okay, tell Matt to get us some. We're like, on this, like, chewy candy kick right now. We've been trying all these random candies I [00:39:30] Speaker A: don't know what it is. The last like two and a half months, I've just needed all of the like, sprees and I just discovered the nerds. The gummy. There's two different types of gusher nerds, right? There's [00:39:42] Speaker B: gummy clusters. [00:39:43] Speaker A: You just [00:39:43] Speaker B: discovered gummy clusters this [00:39:45] Speaker A: last year because you brought them to strawberry or something like that. [00:39:49] Speaker B: Okay, [00:39:49] Speaker A: so there's the gummy clusters and then there's a bigger one that has like, it's like a gust. [00:39:55] Speaker B: Crunchy on the outside. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Yes. But like in the inside it's got that like sweet syrupy stuff. Oh my God. I'm obsessed. It's unhealthy. I'm literally going to the dentist tomorrow because I've been chewing on like non stop candy rotting my teeth out for the last three months. It's so good. [00:40:13] Speaker B: You're funny. [00:40:14] Speaker A: Anyway, [00:40:15] Speaker B: that's hilarious. [00:40:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I love all Those sour candy 90s. It's really bad. That's my last one. No judgment. Thank you. [00:40:21] Speaker B: No, that was great. I want to definitely want to try the skittles. I'm so in. [00:40:26] Speaker A: Wasn't [00:40:26] Speaker B: that a thing for a [00:40:27] Speaker A: while [00:40:27] Speaker B: that like, we weren't allowed to eat Skittles anymore? Like it has a weird chemical in them or something. [00:40:31] Speaker A: Yeah, they're definitely causing cancer, but they're also like rotting my teeth out. So what are you gonna do, you know? Like, what are you [00:40:37] Speaker B: causing cancer? Also, [00:40:39] Speaker A: I still have thoughts about that woman at the Sisters folk Festival who told us that we just like were eating plastic sick non stop and our colons were going to be super [00:40:46] Speaker B: effective. Yeah. Yeah. So true. [00:40:49] Speaker A: She's haunting my. Did you talk to your [00:40:50] Speaker B: husband about that? [00:40:51] Speaker A: No, no, actually I've been pushing. I'm gonna push him to get a colon. A colonoscopy though. [00:40:57] Speaker B: Yeah, because he's of age, isn't he? [00:40:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Also, I've been thinking about it. Like, I'm going to my doctor. [00:41:02] Speaker B: Same [00:41:02] Speaker A: on my birthday. This is how old I am. I'm so excited. I took off the day of my birthday. I'm gonna spend the morning with my doctor for like two and a half hours. And then I'm gonna do a three and a half hour dentist appointment. But they're go like redo all of the things that I haven't had, like caps or whatever. I don't know. So yeah, I'm just gonna be doped up on like what do they give you? Novocaine? Your whole mouth is gonna be totally numb on my birthday and it's gonna That's [00:41:33] Speaker B: a horrible birthday. [00:41:34] Speaker A: Awesome. It's gonna be so great. [00:41:37] Speaker B: Wow, wow, wow. We have completely different expectations for birthdays. I do not know what to say me to that. [00:41:42] Speaker A: It's gonna be the most productive day of my life. I'm gonna, like, be able to go to the doctor. [00:41:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:47] Speaker A: Anyway. Yeah. That's my [00:41:49] Speaker B: life. Oh, my goodness. You're silly. Okay, well, I'm gonna have to bring some joy to your life for your birthday, if that is the [00:41:56] Speaker A: case. [00:41:58] Speaker B: That is insane. Also, not to mention, we went to the coast to go salmon fishing. This is, whatever, weeks ago now, at this point, whenever the last weekend of salmon fishing was, which was. Was September or something, anyway, and we are doing the, like, McMinimans, like, passport thing. And so for people who don't know, McMinimans is a. It's like a business across Oregon and Washington where they create these, like, hotels and, like, music venues and golf courses and wineries, and they're just a really cool company. Their little, like, places are really kitschy and really cute. They're always, like, old buildings. They, like, turn into these new, like, really cool spots to, [00:42:38] Speaker A: like, [00:42:38] Speaker B: hang out. Anyways, we have one here in Bend, and so that's, like, kind of where we know about it. It's really cool. It's like one of the hotel, movie theater, soaking pool options, which is, like, one of the bigger ones that they provide. Anyways. A lot of them are just bars, all that to be said. But there's one really close to where K Flare lives in Forest Grove, and that's called the Grand Lodge. And [00:42:58] Speaker A: that one [00:42:58] Speaker B: is incredible. And we. [00:43:00] Speaker A: I want to go. [00:43:01] Speaker B: We stopped there on the way back from the coast because we. [00:43:05] Speaker A: It's [00:43:05] Speaker B: seven stamps. So for those of you that don't know, for every passport location, you, like, get a stamp. So if it's like a bar, it's like one stamp. If it's like a bar in a movie theater, it's like two stamps. If it's like a hotel situation, it's like five stamps. But the Grand Lodge is seven stamps. [00:43:22] Speaker A: So we, like, went [00:43:22] Speaker B: there one day with the intention of just wiping it out on the way home. Because we had to drive through Forest Grove, basically, anyways. But then they were having the cosmic party when we were there, and the cosmic party is the reason for the passport. So, like. Like, once you complete your passport and you go to all the locations and you do all the activities, whatever, then you get, like, the award is, like, you go to this cosmic party as well as, like, all these other Additional prizes. So you get like three free nights stay. You get all these foods, all these wines, all these movie tickets, all these like theater tickets or like they have like music venues and things like that. Anyway, so you get all these free things when you complete your passport. But we just stumbled across the Grand Lodge and we're like, what the is going on here? And it was the Cosmic Party. So we got to like, like crash basically at the Cosmic Party before we even like won the Cosmic Party. So we like, got way more excited about it after, like, seeing like, what they actually do for you. They do so much for you. It is so crazy [00:44:17] Speaker A: because, [00:44:18] Speaker B: like, you technically don't have to buy anything from any of the locations just to get a stamp. So, like in every location. So like the bigger ones, like the Grand Lodge and like ours here in bend is called St. Francis, they give you like a prize for getting all your stamps from like that location. So, like, they give you like tote bags and T shirts and mugs and hats and like all these like crazy things already when you just finish like one location or like they give you free food, free drinks, like, whatever. And so like every page has like what you wit or like what the prize is for, like that page itself. Anyways. It's very long winded, but so anyways, we like got our like, T shirts and everything from like the Grand Lodge and our like, tote bags and our hats and whatever. And then we like also got to like some little across the Cosmic Party. And we've [00:45:07] Speaker A: only finished [00:45:08] Speaker B: one page of the passport. It's like so, so cool. So if anyone, if this is your sign, if you need to sign up for the passport thing, it is very cool. You do pay $30 for the passport, actually. So you do pay like initially to like get into the program or whatever. But yeah, it is very cool. So anyways, we were really close to you. I'm so sorry. But we were there [00:45:27] Speaker A: for like [00:45:28] Speaker B: an hour. But anyways, yeah, so we are getting close. We still, I think there's like 120 stamps you need or something to complete the passport. And we have have like 20. So we're [00:45:39] Speaker A: very far [00:45:39] Speaker B: away. [00:45:40] Speaker A: Okay. [00:45:41] Speaker B: But it feels like we've done all of the ones like in Oregon. Like, we haven't done any of the ones in Portland and nothing, nothing in Washington. So. And we've done everything else. We've done all the coast, we've done all of like Eugene, whatever, Forest Grove, all that surrounding area, but yeah, [00:46:00] Speaker A: into Portland and like actually hang out and do all the different events because I think I have. Have John Barleycorn. There's the other one that's on Scholes Ferry. That's like not very far. There's like four or five of them in my local area over here. We've been to a handful of them, but I don't have the passport. I think that is that on me. Okay, so we need Thrive Market to be sponsoring this and we also need a sponsorship from McMinimans because. [00:46:26] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:46:26] Speaker A: easy about that. We [00:46:28] Speaker B: also spend just so, so much money there, McMinimon, [00:46:30] Speaker A: so please. Much. Yes, we [00:46:32] Speaker B: go there a lot. It's like one of our favorite places just to, like, get a drink. Yeah, [00:46:36] Speaker A: I think [00:46:36] Speaker B: they're [00:46:36] Speaker A: really fun and they have tons of different, like cutesy little secretive things about every location too, which is kind of cool. Yeah, I think they're great. [00:46:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Anyway, sorry, that was a very long story. We gotta go. I have to run to. Do you want to do like a little gratitude really [00:46:52] Speaker A: quick? Yeah, I just [00:46:55] Speaker B: grateful for you too. [00:46:56] Speaker A: I can't believe we've been doing this for four plus years at this point. And I know, like, [00:47:00] Speaker B: oh my God, this [00:47:01] Speaker A: summer and this year has been really busy, so it's been a little less consistent. But I honestly love these moments that I can just like record and hang out and have a little diary of how crazy life is. We're still dealing with this terrible timeline. I have to, like, talk about it. Yeah. [00:47:17] Speaker B: Honestly. Yeah. Very grateful for you. Sorry I've been mia. I have been going through it, but we are hopefully coming out on the other side. So very grateful to be able to connect with people again and do this podcast with you. And thanks for being. Being so supportive while I cry all the time. [00:47:35] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [00:47:37] Speaker B: But anyways, yeah. What nobody else I would rather do the podcast with, [00:47:41] Speaker A: literally. I love [00:47:42] Speaker B: you so much. I [00:47:43] Speaker A: love you too. I love you listeners, your fake listeners out there. Nobody listens to this. Okay. [00:47:49] Speaker B: It's fine. It's no big deal. It's for us anyways. [00:47:51] Speaker A: I love it. [00:47:53] Speaker B: We love you all so much. [00:47:54] Speaker A: Thanks for being candid. [00:47:56] Speaker B: Bye. [00:48:10] Speaker A: That's all for today's episode. [00:48:11] Speaker B: Hope you enjoyed listening as much as we love you. [00:48:13] Speaker A: Follow us on Instagram and 30. [00:48:16] Speaker B: See you next week, Sam.
