Anyway, yeah, this is Keith. [00:00:33] Speaker B: This is Kelly. I thought that you were gonna say. Because you're like, oh, my God. And so I was like, Becky. And then I thought you were gonna say, look at her. But. But then we could totally do a rap intro. That would be so sick. Wait, also, speaking of intro, ladies and [00:00:49] Speaker A: gentlemen, [00:00:52] Speaker B: we are so from California. Actually, so funny, because all of my friends that I was camping with this weekend, California, except for two of them are from Pennsylvania. And we were all like. It was actually fun. Like, actually, one of. Sorry, Austin, you. He is from Savannah, Georgia, but everyone else is from California. And so everyone. Like, we had a phone and everyone was, like, passing it around. And everyone added, like, one song to the queue, you know? And so we're listening to, like, all these, like, random eclectic songs. It was actually, like, a really fun game. Like, it's a good party game. But anyway, so someone had put on Mac Truck Ray. And I was like, we are so from California. And so we were, like, all singing, like, this dance. And I forgot that I know every single word to the this dance song. And everyone was. [00:01:39] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:01:40] Speaker B: Not gonna toot my own horn or anything, but everyone was very impressed with my shoe. Your own horn. Knowledge of the. Break the thing down, do the bird, dust myself up. I got just a third. Come on, everybody, Now's the chance. The Harlem shake. It's a thistle dance, dance. Anyways, I just have, like, such, like, this ingrained memory of Ben Westmoreland in a parking lot doing the entire dance for us. And just, like, singing and dancing. And he could definitely do it. He was definitely the whitest rapper boy that I've ever known in my life. So, yeah, anyways, shout out. California, we love you, California. [00:02:22] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:23] Speaker B: The Bay. [00:02:23] Speaker A: So I'm the Bay. Mac Drake. Anyway, no, we cannot pull off a rap. I'm sorry. It's not gonna happen. Sorry about it. [00:02:32] Speaker B: We're not gonna do a rap intro. Okay, fine, fine, fine. [00:02:35] Speaker A: But I do remember in college, Kelly, she listened to a lot of. What is that guy's name? Not Mac Dre. There was another dude. Lil Wayne, baby. Maybe not ludicrous. That's right. [00:02:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:48] Speaker A: I just remember listening to a lot [00:02:50] Speaker B: of ludicrous of my life. Okay, Some ludicrous this week. Well, yeah, the Chicken and Beer album. So good. But word of Mouth with an F is incredible. Best album ever. And I. Yeah, I know every word to every song on that album as well. Roll out is probably one of my top 10 favorite songs, I would say. [00:03:11] Speaker A: Rolled Out. [00:03:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:13] Speaker A: That's a good one. Yeah. If Ben is the whitest guy, whitest rapper kid around, can you be the number two whitest around? Because [00:03:24] Speaker B: I did go through a phase. I'm not gonna. I would say I don't, like, know the deep cuts, but I know very, like, California specific. Like, Andre, Nicotina, Mac Dre, like, that type of, like, deep cut kind of situation. But I never got, like. So. So, I mean, I loved Eminem, I loved Luda. I don't know. I was like, job rule. Oh, my gosh. Just like. Okay. [00:03:47] Speaker A: But we were all in high school at, like, 2005, 2006, 2007. So, like, whatever was on the radio at that time, plus or plus, give or take, like, 10 years, it was on constantly. We didn't have stupid iPads. And, like, all we had was the radio. So I don't know all those songs that were, like, really popular. The quote, unquote, California radio stations that played the Weezer and played the Cake and, you know, Foo Fighters and all of the. Anyway, I just feel like that's because California has really good radio stations. Give me a break. [00:04:20] Speaker B: Yeah, we had a great radio station. Sometimes I do wish that, like, we have one Kate, KPOV here in Bend. But they play, like, everything. It's not, like, a specific kind of radio station because, you know, you like hodgepodge. Yeah, you would go. Because they have, like, different DJs, like, all the time. And you can, like, guest DJ on there and stuff. Like, it's a very small. That's kind of cool situation. Yeah, they give away, like, so many, like, free concert tickets, too. They do, like, so much fun, like, cool local stuff. But I do miss that we had, like, a good country station, a good rock station, a good rap station, you know, like, it was a good alternative station, whatever. And so you could, like, kind of flip through, like, depending on what you were feeling. But they did play the same songs over and over and over again, Oregon. So it was pretty terrible. But I do wish we still had something like that, because even if you do, there's, like, all there is now is, like, oldies or, like, there is, like, a country station. But other than that, there's, like, not really good radio anymore. Like, I just don't think there's money in it. [00:05:13] Speaker A: No, it's Definitely not. There's no money in it. Hello. I graduated. I had like two radio stations in college and, like studied this whole thing. And if there's definitely no money in it. But just think about, like all the younger generations who are not going to grow up with all the memories of radio. Like, my dad listened to a crap ton of talk radio. I won't go into names, but. But we. That's how we listen to the Giants games too, is always on the radio. And so, I don't know, I just. And like, how I got introduced to so many of my favorite songs was through the radio. So, like, new generations are going to lack the ability, I think, to understand, number one, what a radio signal is and how it freaking works, because that's not taught in schools. But also they're going to miss out on like all the best radio stuff and all the. [00:06:02] Speaker B: But also just like, yeah, kind of like niche stuff as well, because, like, we know every word to every song from like the 90s to the 2000s because they played it non stop over and over and over again until you never wanted to hear that song ever again. And like, kids these days, like, once they like learn a song on Spotify or whatever, they're gonna like move on and then they'll like, maybe never listen to it again unless that playlist plays again or whatever. So it's just like a different vibe of like, they're just not going to be introduced to new music unless they want to be kind of. And so that's a really interesting thought as well. [00:06:35] Speaker A: All tick tocky. And so you can only listen to like music for 30 seconds and then you can't, like, you can't be bothered to listen to a whole album anyway, sorry, we went on a weird little tangent here, but I love my favorite radio station. When I was living in the Bay and I was like driving really late at night pretty often for whatever reason. Don't come at me. There's this radio station that plays like soft jazz. It's always the same guy. It's always like really interesting, soft, jazzy, like very calming ASMR kind of vibe. And I loved that station. I had it like number one preset. It was awesome. Especially at like 11 to 12 to 3 o' clock in the morning. [00:07:19] Speaker B: I cannot imagine you listening to that. But it does remind me of that Friends episode when Ross is calling in the radio station for Rachel to get him back. And then Rachel calls in and she goes, well, Ross, we heard that you guys were not on a break or whatever. It's so ridiculous. Like, that's the kind of like, sultry voice that I like think of when you talk about, like, jazz radio. [00:07:40] Speaker A: That's like, you would not be far off. I feel like that was pretty much the vibe. That's so funny. Anyway. Wow. Okay, let's jump off of this, like, weird radio tangent. Hi, everybody. Welcome to the pod. [00:07:52] Speaker B: Yeah, that just makes us sound so old. We're like kids these days. I don't even know kids these days. Disgusting. [00:07:59] Speaker A: Anyways, I think we have good banter though. We could probably own a radio station. But that's what we're doing here, right? We just don't have the music. Anyway, there's something. [00:08:07] Speaker B: So at least, like, it's not recorded really. Well, maybe it could be recorded, but you know, radio back in the day, they would just do like ridiculous shit. And like, they could just say they're like ever waking thought. And like, if you weren't listening, you didn't hear it. [00:08:19] Speaker A: It's called free speech. The first amendment. Thank you very much. [00:08:22] Speaker B: Oh, gosh. Anyhoosers, I just got done. Speaking of being old, I just got done with a skin check. I had a skin check back in May, and because I had this like, weird lump on my chest. Not a lump. It was like a brown spot on my chest and then it fell off. And then I got really freaked out because there was just like a circle of where it was and it like, wasn't changing. It still hasn't changed. So anyways, I just went in to double check because, like, me, like, I could biopsy it, but I don't like, think I need to biopsy it. And so since it hadn't changed from like three months ago or whatever, he's like, no, it's definitely just the, like, oh, crap, I'm gonna forget what it's called. Keratosis something. It's just like filament. Keratosis. Filament or something. [00:09:08] Speaker A: Sure. [00:09:09] Speaker B: So basically just like, that's believable. All of the pigment, like, gathered together and just like, fell off. Basically is what he's telling me. So anyways, but I went in there because my paperwork said, guy getting a spot check on my face. And I was like, what's wrong with my face? I was like, excuse me, what? And he was like, oh, that should say chest, not cheek. And I was like, okay, well, I feel really solid about this right now because you guys couldn't even spell chest correctly. So it's fine. I've already had. If you don't know, I've already had quite an experience with this dermatologist, so it's quite silly. But anyways, gears can check, kids, because. Yeah, I don't know. I'm just, like, very paranoid now. I'm hearing all these. I think it's like, my side of the algorithm in Tick Tock as well, but I'm seeing all these, like, really weird, like, random cancer things happening. And I think it's probably because I was, like, looking into it, of course. But, yeah, also people, like, getting other injuries, like break their ankle or, like, gotten a car accident and got a checkup and, like, whatever, and then found, like, cancer. I've just heard, like, these random stories lately of, like, people that I know of, like, that happening to. And I'm just like. Like, I'm so. I don't know. I'm already paranoid. I'm already anxious, and so. No, please, just get your skin checked, everybody. [00:10:22] Speaker A: But, yeah, it's been a minute since I've been to the doctor, but that's a story for another day. [00:10:28] Speaker B: What have you done today? [00:10:30] Speaker A: Yeah, I've done a lot, actually. I've. What did we do? Well, I have quite a bit to share in regards to my tribute to Dolly. Can we. Can we Dolly right now? Is that okay? [00:10:40] Speaker B: Absolutely. Please. [00:10:41] Speaker A: Okay. So it's been a while since we've recorded. We haven't chatted. And rip. The most beautiful human angel goddess that came and blessed us all with her presence is no longer walking this Earth. And I'm having a lot of feelings about it because earlier in the year, we had to say goodbye to one of the also most beautiful humans that ever walked this earth. Catherine o' Hara and Dolly Parton in the same year has just left me feeling a lot of feelings. But I did. I think this is so funny. I don't. I. Spoiler alert. If you haven't seen any Dolly movies, then just Skip ahead by 30 minutes. 30 seconds. 30 minutes. Could you imagine? Oh, my God. I'm gonna go on about this for 30 minutes, folks. Okay, have you seen Dolly's movies? Like, nine to five? Have you seen, like, Little Whorehouse in Texas or any of those? Oh, my God. All right, well, everybody, you should do yourselves a favor and go watch 9 to 5 at the very minimum. Because I made my husband watch it with me. [00:11:40] Speaker B: And. [00:11:40] Speaker A: And he wasn't expecting it. He thought it was hilarious. And. Oh, really? Back to me afterward, and he was like, this movie is really ahead of its time. And I was like, dude, this is why it's one of my favorite Movies. Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton. And it's very good. It's very pertinent in today's political spectrum. Yeah, Like, I love that movie, and I just thought it was really funny. He'd not seen it, and then my mom and my sister hadn't seen it. And I just, like, had been watching this movie since I was 16, apparently by myself. And I've seen it, like, 20 times. It's fantastic. [00:12:17] Speaker B: So funny. I've definitely seen it, you know, like, where it was, like, on TV when you were a kid or whatever. But I don't think I've sat down. Yeah, totally. [00:12:27] Speaker A: Yeah, you said it's really good. Anyway, I also found, like, two of her vinyl albums that I've been listening to for the past couple of days. So everybody just admire and celebrate Dolly however you want to. But that just made me feel, like, a lot of feelings. It's really sad. [00:12:44] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it was very sad. I feel like, firstly, because I don't think anyone really knew she was sick. And, like, that's just so Dolly of her. Like, she didn't want people to know, you know, because she was, like, so private about her private life and. Yeah, just, like, everything. She's so classy. She was such an incredible businesswoman. She was such an incredible entrepreneur. Just, like, absolutely things. And it's so crazy because, like, all of the things that people are saying about her is not, like, how many wonderful songs she wrote or how many Emmys she had or how many movies she was in or, like, anything like that. It was just, like, genuinely, like, what a good, like, humanitarian and, like, person and genuine, kind human being that she was. And that just, like, says so much for. Yeah, so much about her. It's just, like, so incredible. Oh, my God. I'm getting, like, sad. I'm getting, like, very emotional. I don't know why. I know. Crying over and over again this last few days. But anyways, yeah, she is just, like, an incredible human. Human being. I've always wanted to go to Dollywood. I love the Great Smoky Mountain so much, and just, like, that little, like, corner of the world. And it's just so special that that's where she's from. And I don't know, just, like, even the, like, library. I can't remember. Imagination, library, like, all those kind of things. Yeah, all of things like that. That she did for people just because the fact that, like, her dad couldn't read himself, and so she, like, started all these things because her family, like, came from nothing is so incredible. And just like, how she never talked about anybody. She never talked poorly, she never talked political. She just was like such a good, well rounded human being. Was like, very, very incredible. And she's an incredible songwriter. Like, everyone has just been giving her tributes and singing I will always love you and it's just like, it's so beautiful. And I know. I just love her so much. And she's also so quick and so witty and like, watching all her little, like, clips back and how she, like, always makes fun of herself. She's always like the butt of the joke, but it's always just like, so cute and genuine and like, I don't know, she's just like such an anomaly. And I saw someone say, this is not my word, so I don't want to, like, take credit for it. But, like, I saw someone say that she's like the last American that, like, everyone genuinely, like, adores and loves. Like, I don't know, there's just not going to be another person like her where there's not, like, some controversy behind her death. You know, like, everyone is just like, like, so sad and genuinely, like, moved by her death. So I don't know. Anyway, and then the day after Tim Curry died and they were both only 80 years old, like, 80 to me does not seem old enough for, like, their fame where they. Yeah, like, I just don't think that that's old enough to have died. And it just makes me really, really sad. [00:15:23] Speaker A: So anyway, so then for Tim Curry, when he passed, I watched. It's kind of an unconventional movie, but do you remember the original Charlie's Angels? Like, with Lucy Lou. And not the original original ones, obviously, but like the one from 2006. [00:15:38] Speaker B: Oh, when you're in high school. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:15:40] Speaker A: Like Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. What's her name? Cameron Diaz. Thank you. And Lucy Liu and Tim Curry and then a Bill Murray in it who was adorable. Anyway, I watched that movie and I didn't realize that Tim Curry was in it. But I'm gonna take credit because him in his sumo suit. Him and Bill Murray going out each other in a sumo suit. [00:16:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:16:00] Speaker A: Was so funny. And I was dying laughed at laughing. So I never really got into the Rocky Horror Picture Show. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Like, no shame. [00:16:09] Speaker A: I know, it's wonderful. But like, horror's just, like, not my thing. And like, it's not actually horror, though. [00:16:16] Speaker B: You know that, right? [00:16:17] Speaker A: No, it's like. Yeah, it's like. What do you call that? What do you call that word? Yeah, a Satire. A satire of horror films. Whatever. Look at me. Anyway, all the dead people in the world. That's so sad. [00:16:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:16:33] Speaker A: 2026 has gotten them so upsetting. [00:16:36] Speaker B: But also, like, I thought 2026 was supposed to be a little bit better. Like, why does this keep happening? It's very upsetting. But I do want to. Yeah, I just want to give a little shout out to Tim Curry because I feel bad. I don't know that much about him. He, like, like we said, I was not. Never got really into Rocky Horror Picture show, but, like, I know. I think it's kind of just like a generation above us, maybe. But, yeah, he was in so many incredible works as well and just, like, had such a huge, long career. But, yeah, I just don't want to speak to him too much because I don't know that. [00:17:06] Speaker A: Really iconic, unfortunately. [00:17:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:08] Speaker A: You know, in the LGBTQ space, like, very love him for that alone. Like, he's, yeah. Iconic. And, yeah, I think he's incredible, obviously, or he wouldn't be, like, super famous. So, you know. [00:17:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, totally. Anyway, anyways, it was just last week was just a very sad. A very, like, big blow, too. And also everyone had kept saying they were like, the number one, number two, like, who's number three? And then there was, like, all these videos of people saying, like, there's a lot of other people, like, Grim Reaper. Like, why are you taking out our favorite people? Why aren't you taking out some other humans that we do not need in this world at this time? And, yeah, it was just, like, kind of funny. [00:17:46] Speaker A: Connor P. I did see those on Tick Tock. I was kind of dying. [00:17:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:50] Speaker A: Anyway, okay, not to, like, bring down the. The podcast, but so sad. But I hope everybody had a chance to at least, you know, celebrate Dolly, celebrate Tim Curry, if that's what you're. If you're. That's what you're into. And yeah, tell me about what's been going on with you, because you have been a traveling lady as always. But, like, where have you been lately? [00:18:10] Speaker B: Yeah, we went to the coast this weekend. It was a scheduled trip. So, man, California state parks are California. California state parks are tough as well, [00:18:20] Speaker A: but California out of here. [00:18:21] Speaker B: I know Oregon state parks are tough campgrounds to get into. So we went and camped at Beverly Beach State Park. And so you have to, like, be online at, like, 7am like, six months in advance to, like, get the date that you want for your campsites or whatever. Like, it's like that status Beverly Beach. And so, like, I only did that because of, like, the advice and from other friends that we went last year and just, like, how cool the campground it was and stuff. So I know nothing about it before going, but we booked it so far in advance because we were just, like, excited to, like, go camping on the coast with all of our friends. So, like, Matt and I go to the coast a lot, but we actually hadn't been, like, this summer because the summer just went by super fast. And so it was really fun. I haven't been to the coast, like, in the dead of summer where it's, like, really nice out. So that was really cool as well. But basically, the campground is just, like, in this huge, like, wooded area. I don't know. The coast always, like, surprises me because it's always, like, so green and beautiful. And I don't know, I just, like, forget about that because we live in the desert over here. It's just not that far away. So anyways, it's just north of Newport a little bit. Like, maybe 10 minutes, not even. And yeah, it's like, this huge wooded area. And the campground is actually huge, but it's beautiful. So everyone got, like, these, like, little wooded sites where, like, we had, like, this whole section where it was just, like, all of our friends in this one area. So we had, like, all touching campsites, which was really nice. And then we. Yeah, so we had, like, these, like, big, like, hangout areas and things like that, like, in behind our camp. So, like we said, we sat in, like, or got group sites in, like, this area that had, like, a creek in the back, and there's, like, a trail that goes all the way to the beach and stuff. And so we just had, like, this whole, like, back area to kind of, like, hang out and, like, do our thing and have the kids run and play and whatever. But, yeah, the campground was incredible then. Yeah, like I said, it, like, opened up into the beach and so you could walk to the beach. And so I walked Miley to the beach every morning. Or, like, except for the day that we went fishing. But, yeah, we went fishing one morning. We caught a bunch of rockfish. We caught our limit. And then caught a couple lingcods as well. We caught a bunch of crab. Matt went crabbing for us. And so we had fish tacos the night that we went fishing. So it was me and all the guys went fishing. And then we had fish tacos that night with our fresh rockfish that we caught. And then the next day, we had, like, a girls day where all the girls got to be Baby free. And so we all went to, like, a fancy lunch at Local Oceans in Newport, and I got to do both activities because I am childless. [00:20:53] Speaker A: And then living the best life. [00:20:56] Speaker B: Yeah. And then since all the guys were watching babies on Friday, then Matt got to go crabbing, so Matt caught us a bunch of crab and. And brought that back. And so we had a big seafood boil on Saturday on the beach. Austin, like, organized the whole thing, and, yeah, it was just really nice. Like, we brought everything down, and Matt had his, like, big burner and everything, and so we just, like, boiled all of our stuff. Had, like, a sausage, corn, potato, Brussels sprout, shrimpies. Yeah. And crab. It's, like seafood. Seafood boil on the beach. And it was incredible. And the sunsets were incredible every day. The weather was incredible. Like, one morning it was foggy, and then it cleared off, like, super fast. Another, like, night. It rained a little bit in the night. And then we woke up, and things were just, like, a little bit damp, but, like, it was super nice and warm and beautiful every day. So, yeah, it was an incredible trip. Just like. Like, such good memories with all. All the homies and the babies, and it was so fun to, like, play with them. Yeah, we got to, like, they're all just, like, old enough now to where they're so fun to play with, like, in the sand and in the water. And so we were just, like, running around. All the dogs were there, and so it was just like a big, big group of us, and it was very fun. So I'm very grateful for all the homies and planning that and just, like. Yeah. Doing beach trips with friends. We're like. Matt and I were talking about it yesterday. We're, like. We're just so thankful that. Yeah, we have these humans that, like doing these things that we like to do, too, and it's really nice. Yeah. Yeah. [00:22:28] Speaker A: Oh. [00:22:29] Speaker B: So it was a great weekend. I missed the coast already, but I know that it was just because the weather was so nice and that as soon as it starts raining, I'll be like, never mind. But it's also nice. [00:22:40] Speaker A: Yeah, right. [00:22:40] Speaker B: To be in the RV when it's. Yeah. [00:22:42] Speaker A: Today's the first day that we got, like, a little bit of a sprinkle here in Portland, so the winter is definitely coming, but we're not there yet. I still want to kind of enjoy the last little remnants of summer, you know? [00:22:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. It's like a flip of the switch, honestly, like, because now it's, like, dark, a little bit darker in the mornings, and it's like getting darker earlier at night and stuff and like yeah, September 1st. I know summer is not over until September 22nd. I'm a firm believer in that. But it does feel like it because the rain is also coming here. Like it's going to be freezing and raining for this whole week. And so everyone's kind of like oh what? But then it will get like into the 70s again or whatever. But we're definitely not going to get into our 80s 90s like we have been anymore. So it's happening. [00:23:25] Speaker A: That's nice. Officially a little bit of a relief. But are you done traveling then or are you. Do you have more traveling happening? [00:23:33] Speaker B: Yep. Nope, we're not going anywhere. Well, yeah, same this month. [00:23:39] Speaker A: Not like, you know, yeah, same. [00:23:41] Speaker B: And I have a, a trip planned in to but we might be switching up our plan so I won't announce that quite yet but I'm gonna see Sam in the month of September. Yeah, we just were talking about switching up the plans a little bit just because I have like no leave which is my own fault. I have no leave left. And then we're going to Hawaii and for Thanksgiving which is great and lovely. But yeah, that means I have even less leave now. So I'm like a little stressed about it. And they changed my work schedule now I'm officially working five eight so. So I have to take every Friday off because I already had planned. So that's really annoying too that I was just. [00:24:21] Speaker A: Do they change your hours too or are you still doing like early day? [00:24:25] Speaker B: I'm working 7 to 3:30 now instead of 6:30 to 4. So it's a little bit night. It's nice to have a shorter day. I'm not gonna lie. Like eight hour day is. Feels so much shorter than a nine hour day somehow. But yeah, I'm still pissed about it that I have to take more leave. Like I can't just have long weekends. So yeah, it's a whole thing. But anyway, what's been going on with you? What do you got going on? [00:24:51] Speaker A: Well, I don't know if you can hear that in the background, but my husband dropped a little wine telegram. Yeah, exactly. He's taking forever to pour the wine. Okay, you get it. Thank you. Sorry about that people. Little ASMR for you. My husband has had to come and refill my wine glass. I don't normally normally drink red wine but I think like because it's September, it's a merlot, it's not like a heavy cab or anything. I'm kind of Enjoying my red wine, which I is new for me. Anyway, work is going really well. I'm actually really enjoying getting up at 4:50, 4:45 in the morning today. Yeah, like 4:30. Super excited about it. Like, even today I got up earlier, but it just means that I'm in bed by like, like 8:45, like a grandma. So I. Yeah, it's just kind of getting used to this new go to bed early, wake up very early, and then like, I wake up and the next thing I know, it's 11 o' clock in the afternoon or like 11 o', clock, 12 o' clock and I'm like, ready to go home at three. So, yeah, it's been really great. Clients are fabulous. Like, I have a lot of. Of people that. I'm just building my book right now, but it's getting busier. My team is wonderful. I really enjoy. My boss, my mentor is great. I have like, lots of people around who like you. Like, they clearly want me to do well. You know, like, they're very helpful with questions and tips. They give me really thorough feedback. So, yeah, I'm just like, really impressed with the level of professionalism. And I think it's because I don't work with like, tech bros that are in their early twenties and entitled anyway. [00:26:37] Speaker B: So, yeah. [00:26:38] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm really enjoying it. Yeah, life is great. I think, like, the summer is winding down. I've fixed all of my garden crap and put everything away. My inside plants are doing really good. I still have that, like, string of pearls that trying to beef up a little bit. And it seems to be liking the inside inside. So. [00:27:00] Speaker B: Okay. [00:27:01] Speaker A: Yeah, things are good. [00:27:02] Speaker B: Yeah. I feel like we came back from. I feel like we got like, our last, like, push of garden stuff, which is kind of sad. I mean, maybe it will continue. We'll see. We have. Because we came back to like, a ton. Well, before we left, we had a ton of tomatoes, ton of jalapenos, ton of zucchinis. We've always had kale and everything. Our carrots are like. We came back and our carrots are popping off. We have ton more tomatoes. We have more zucchini. We actually harvested our potatoes yesterday, which was so fun. I think that was like, our favorite thing that we've done so far. It was just like. It's so exciting. [00:27:36] Speaker A: It's always your favorite. [00:27:37] Speaker B: I know. Just like, dig through all the dirt and like, it was Matt's first time getting to do it. So, like, that was really fun. I just, like, got to like, watch him do it. And, like, get really excited about them all. We did, like, some red potatoes and Yukon gold's potatoes, and they're just, like, perfect. It was, like, so fun. So, yeah, that's definitely my top. I. I ended up planning cabbage, like, pretty late. I don't know if I talked about that on here. Just because it's like, a winter crop, so I'm excited about having. Or like, a fall crop, I guess. And so I'm excited about having those. And hopefully they, like, start thriving when it gets a little bit cooler out and then, yeah, carrots will continue through the fall. And then I planted some, like, chard and stuff for, like, the fall as well. But other than that, I'm kind of like, it'll be kind of nice to, like, put that to bed for summer, you know, kind of just be done with that and over with. But it is really fun to see, like, we've gotten. I made, like, fresh salsa from our jalapenos and. [00:28:34] Speaker A: Oh, that sounds good. [00:28:35] Speaker B: Our tomatoes from. For our fish tacos on Friday on the coast. And that was really fun because I haven't got to, like, do anything like that this season yet, so. And then last night, I made, like, mashed potatoes and zucchini and some salmon. And, like, the potatoes were from our garden. The zucchini was from our garden. Like, it was just like. That's kind of like, my vibe right now is like, that's sweet. Fun stuff like that. Yeah. So anyways, the garden is so fun. It was just a little bit of a challenging year this year. So next year I think we're gonna have it on lock. And, like, I'm excited about that. Yeah. Yeah. [00:29:08] Speaker A: She'll have more traps and more. [00:29:10] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. [00:29:11] Speaker A: Options. [00:29:11] Speaker B: We at least have our, like, rat situation under control for next year for sure. Yeah, that's very valid. Anyways. Yeah. Well, I just want to talk really quick about. I think we're gonna do, like, kind of a quicker episode. But I do want to talk about this one show that I just, like, binge watched because I was able to over the weekend, slash last week, like, during the week. Okay. Also, first of all, there is this other show. Oh, my gosh. Shoot. I'm not gonna remember what it's called. Let me Google really fast. There's a show that's, like, basically like Survivor on Netflix, and I think it's just called the Survivors. Is it called the Survivors? It's. Jason Bateman is the director, though, which. Love. Anyways. Yeah, it's very good. Oh, no, it's Called Outlast maybe. Shoot. I'm going to have to look into this. There's too many different things, things popping up for this anyways. I'm mid watching that right now and it's like pretty silly. Like, you know, like there's the drama and whatever. Like they try to make a little bit like, yeah, whatever, Survivor, but it's a different concept of like there's three different teams and they all like pick what resource they want to start with. So some of them start with water or fire rod. Some of them, yeah, start with water, some of them start with, with hunting tools. And so they get to choose which like, team they go to or whatever. What like, resource they want to have. Like, they think that might be the easiest for them to use or the hardest for them to get whatever based on their like, skills and whatever. And so they do get to start out with one resource and then they can like chat and they can switch teams at any point. They can like obviously leave at any point. There's like all these different like things that they throw in, but it's. It's pretty cute. I haven't finished it, but yeah, I'm into it. I've only had watched like three episodes, but that's not the show that I was gonna talk about. I just like was watching it last night and it reminded me the show that I was watching is on Amazon Prime. I'm just like such a prime girl these days. I feel like. Well, we're also still watching House of Dragon. Don't want to forget. It just got like really good, I feel like. But we. I watched Sterling Point. Like binge watch Sterling Point. Have you watched that yet? Is it based off of. Not yet. Have you seen it though? Like advertised for it anyways. [00:31:40] Speaker A: Seen something about it. [00:31:41] Speaker B: I feel like they're advertising like pretty hard. Is it based on a TV show? Anyways, it was very cute. I mean it was definitely just like very binge worthy, very kind of like silly, ridiculous. But like so good because I like had no idea like, like where it was going and so I really liked it. Like I think they're gonna try and make like a season two, which would be real dumb, but I would recommend it. I think it was very cute and like a good watch and like coming [00:32:11] Speaker A: of age mystery drama television series. Got it. [00:32:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:14] Speaker A: Cool. Nice. [00:32:15] Speaker B: It's about this like girl and boy who get this island like left to them and I'll leave it at that and like from their grandfather or whatever. So yeah, it is pretty cute and just like Eight episodes. Super quick watch and you probably will know where it's going. But probably maybe not all at the same time because it had a lot of twists and turns. But anyways, I thought it was very cute and binge worthy and just, like, nice watching these days. But yeah, I'm hopefully gonna watch a bunch of movies this weekend because it's gonna be icky outside. So I kind of just like, excited to be cozy and cuddly and, like, indoors a little bit. What's on the docket for you this weekend? [00:32:56] Speaker A: I love that. That's my favorite thing to do ever. I don't really know. I think we don't have any plans. Thank God. Definitely cleaning of the stuff. Like, I need to officially, like, put to bed, if you will. My, like, summer closet. I need to, like, take out all of my sweaters and stuff and, like, transition my closet. It's that time of year, so I'm kind of doing that and then organizing all my various purses that I've decided to sell, which I'm very bummed about. Yeah. Anyway, I'm just kind of like, getting ready to downsize a little bit before the winter because I don't know if I'm gonna go home for the holidays. I'm hoping to, but because I'm, like, new in my role, I'm the lowest man on the totem pole and, like, somebody's gotta stay back and answer the phone. So that might be me, but that's not a big deal. So we just kind of like hanging out and just enjoying the ends of the summer. Maybe I'll barbecue. We had a fire the other night. We have, like, a bunch of wood that we need to get through. So. Yeah, I'd love to, like, marinate something and really barbecue some ribs or something. That sounds really fun. [00:34:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:05] Speaker A: Anyway. [00:34:22] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm watching Silo. [00:34:24] Speaker A: I'm keeping up on that. My husband and I just picked up another sci fi book. Well, it's not really sci fi. He's really into these, like, lit RPG books, which. Whatever it's called. Mage Tank. So we're getting into that book. There's like eight books in this series, so we're kind of getting into that. But yeah, otherwise just hanging out and being dumb because being an Adult is hard anyway. [00:34:51] Speaker B: It really is. [00:34:52] Speaker A: That's what we're doing. [00:34:53] Speaker B: That's so real. Yeah. Well, it's good to see you. [00:34:55] Speaker A: Should we just wrap up on gratitudes and grievances? Do you have a grievance that you want to with? [00:35:02] Speaker B: Grievance would just be that there was so much trash everywhere on the beach in the campground. Poop bag. Dog poop bags. Like, people just pick up their dog and then leave it in a bag. I think a lot of those dog food poop bags are biodegradable. So, like, it's not the end of the world. But I'm like, literally, why put it in a plastic bag if you're not even gonna pick it up? Because it would biodegrade or just bury it or something. Like, faster if it was just a dog poop on the ground. You know what I mean? [00:35:32] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. [00:35:33] Speaker B: Ugh, I hate it. [00:35:35] Speaker A: But also, like, making it harder to decompose. [00:35:38] Speaker B: Yeah, totally. Even if it is biodegradable, it's definitely making it a lot harder. But also just, like, walking on the beach, there's just like. And I think it's coming from the ocean. A lot of it. Some of it obviously knocks. There's like, so many humans. But yeah, I picked up so much trash on the beach. And then there's just like, like, you know, like, fishing rope and just like, that kind of junk as well, where, like, one morning I was walking down the beach with Myla and there's this girl that was, like, ahead of me, and she just had, like, an arm full of just like, fishing net and like, whatever. And like, obviously I just washed up on shore, and it just makes me really sad. Not that fishermen give a. But, like, it is a bummer. And I do love fishing, and I wish that people cared a little bit more, but, like, man, it's tough to watch sometimes. So anyway, just. I hate trash. Yeah. Yeah. [00:36:27] Speaker A: Well, I'm gonna have a little bit of a grievance for driving. I'm not gonna make it a big deal, but, like, people who drive in Oregon, I don't understand how you haven't blown up your car. [00:36:40] Speaker B: Literally, honestly. [00:36:42] Speaker A: We're going. I'm going through, like, five different freeways and three different bridges just to get from my house to my office. And it's 4:50 or 5:00 clock in the morning. The speed limit is like 55 here in Oregon, and people are going, like, 35 in the left lane. Are you doing. How do you question your life choices? [00:37:07] Speaker B: Right. [00:37:08] Speaker A: Like, at that particular moment in time, you're deciding to make your problem my problem. So, like, it's just. Yeah. Anyway, I hate people so much. Anyway, let's talk about gratitudes. What are you grateful for? [00:37:21] Speaker B: Oh, just grateful for the good old Bend community and showing up and having such good ideas and, like, loving camping and, like, wanting to go to the coast and then just, like, organizing all the humans as well, which was really nice because I kind of just like, crashed a camping trip that happened last year just because I, like, wanted to hang out with those humans. And I love the coast, and so does Matt, and so it's really nice. Just. Just feel. Yeah. Just get to be involved in their whole, like, yearly tradition. And it was so fun and just, like, it was really nice where everyone could, like, kind of do their own thing. But then we did, like, group meals together, and then, like, we did, like, the fishing thing together, and then the girls day together and, like, stuff like that, which was really lovely. And just, like, it's so fun waking up and opening up your door and, like, all your friends are, like, in your campsite, and you're like, oh, my gosh, good morning. What is everybody doing here while they just, like, set up camps in your front yard, you know? And it's just, like, the best, and I loved it so much. So just very grateful for all of them and camping with all of them. So, yeah, that's. So It's a good time. Oh, yeah. [00:38:23] Speaker A: Good. [00:38:24] Speaker B: What are you grateful for? [00:38:25] Speaker A: I want to be a little grateful for Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, especially. Like, they gave a really sweet tribute to Dolly. And, like, obviously I'm gonna have grateful gratefulness or be grateful for Dolly, but, like, I just think that. That at this particular moment in time in human history, it's really challenging to find somebody so universally mourned and, like, loved and looking looked at in admiration, like, all walks of life. So I just. I want to stop and, like, appreciate that moment because it's probably going to be one of the very few last moments that we'll have on Earth. [00:39:05] Speaker B: Totally. [00:39:06] Speaker A: Very sad to say. So anyway, just a little grateful for Lily Tomlin, who is hilarious. Jane Fonda, who I wish I was more like.
